"Host was very friendly & welcoming. It was a very well equipped house. We had 4 generations staying & found the house had all we needed from pots, pans, crockery, 2 coffee machines, all the linen required plus the toys/books for our great grandchildren to use were much appreciated too. Unfortunately Settlers Hill is not sign posted on Rue Balguerie so 4 of our party missed the turn off. I know this is not the hosts fault. We had a wonderful stay thank you."

"Property as described. A lookout point for Akaroa & surrounds. Was an unexpectedly chilly weekend but a hot bath on the balcony under the stars with the spectacular aurora light show more than making up for it. What a weekend!"

"Clean, kid and pet friendly. Stunning views, loved the piglets and chooks! Walking around the property, we were lucky to see lots of kereru, piwakawaka, quails and even a tūī! "Great spot in Akaroa just past the lighthouse. The house was very well set up with everything you could need for a comfortable stay. When we arrived the fire was already going and there was milk and chocolate in the fridge for us. The location was quiet and private. The driveway was not the easiest to navigate and found parking at the cemetery and then a short walk was easiest for us.Giving two thumbs up for this property and would recommend. Many thanks"
