"River Dance cottage is a comfortable.clean and well presented holiday stay. The owners go to great lengths to ensure you feel welcome, and also have everything you need. A welcome pack of wine and tasty cookies are left for you to enjoy, the cottage has a fitted kitchen with all amenities. The towels are thick and fluffy too. "A great central location for a weekend break in Masham. The barn was modern and clean and big enough for us as a family of four. Everything we needed was provided. We had come early evening following the Polar Express (Wensleydale) train ride in December, so it was a bit cold and took a while to heat up with its big rooms/high ceilings. However, by the next morning it was warm and cosy. Would stay again and definitely recommend "

"My daughter’s , grandchildren and I stayed at Morton House for 2 nights whilst visiting the Polar Express (15 minutes drive away). The house was large , warm and welcoming. Children had a ball chasing each other around . Beds are extremely comfortable with quality bedding . Everyone slept very well . Perfect location , visited local churches and park , walked by the river .. Communication from host,, Michelle, was excellent. she even downloaded Polar Exoress film on Sky so the kids could watch...

"The cottage was attractively decorated and furnished and was very well equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The information handbook was comprehensive.It was very clean and well maintained and was also in a wonderful location with beautiful scenery all around it.The only downside was the bathroom and the lack of shower screen and wall mounted shower. "We had a lovely stay at The Old Barn, it’s well equipped, quiet and dog friendly. The parking worked well, we have a 4x4 and a tow bar mounted bike rack. We also appreciated having a secure shed for our bikes. The neighbours are friendly and made us feel welcome, we are planning to return to the cottage to explore the area further. My only comment is about recycling as we couldn’t find a recycling bin. But we did locate and use the local recycling facility, which is at The Reeth Dales Centre."

"This is a remarkable historic property in the Swaledale valley, with extraordinary views. And yet the cottage has been painstakingly updated inside, with every comfort and amenity attended to. The bed is comfortable; the bath is modern; there's a fantastic wood-stove. And the owners have provided wonderful maps and suggestions for walks in the area. You're just up the hill from the Punch Bowl, a gastro-pub with good food. This is a very special place to stay."
