Harvest House

  • Built in 1865, this former winemaker's house was in operation until the 1950s. Our great-grandfather and his family lived in the main house; the other buildings were used for winemaking, storage, and stables. Accommodation: You will be staying in the harvesters' house. The property is located in a small village in the Gard region and boasts a very large garden of 1000m2. The house, garden, and swimming pool are exclusively yours. A beautiful 6.5m x 3.8m swimming pool (open from May 15th to October 15th) with sun loungers. A very large terrace of over 40m2, shaded by a linden tree and a century-old hackberry tree, allows you to enjoy lunch and dinner outdoors, sheltered from the heat. A table and garden chairs are provided. There are two Wi-Fi networks, one accessible from the winegrowers' house and the other from the terrace. The house can accommodate 4 people; there is a double bed (160 cm) on a bright mezzanine. A sofa bed (140 cm) for 2 people is located in the living room on the first floor. A fully equipped kitchen includes a sink, ceramic hob, microwave, conventional oven, dishwasher, electric coffee maker, toaster, kettle, and refrigerator. A lovely bathroom with a shower, sink, and toilet is located on the mezzanine. There is also another bathroom with a shower. There is a sink and separate toilet located near the pool, but watch your head when you get out! A charcoal barbecue is available for your use; please clean it before you leave. All food shops and a pharmacy can be found in the village, a 5-minute walk away. Bakery, grocery store, butcher, restaurants, and small bars are also available. The village is located between Nîmes and Montpellier. It's lively all year round and the locals are welcoming. The beaches and the pretty town of Aigues-Mortes are a 20-minute drive away. The Pont du Gard, as well as the beautiful towns of Uzès and Arles, are 45 minutes away. It takes about an hour to reach the Cévennes, Anduze, and its bamboo grove. Guest access: Exclusive access to the swimming pool, garden, and courtyard.

It's a unique place and exactly as described. The house is not very big, but ideal for a couple and equipped with everything it needs. The garden is very idyllic and we loved the pool. Aigues-Vives is a perfect location for all

Beautiful garden and swimming pool.

We had a great stay in this beautiful house. We particularly enjoyed the swimming pool, and the garden where we had most of our meals. The apartment itself is small and fairly simple, but it's convenient. Once again, it's the quiet and nice garden and swimming pool that make this place so special.

Super vacances dans une super maison!

Nous avons passer une semaine plus qu'agréable et reposante dans cette belle et ancienne maison du sud de la France! Très propre, confortable, fidèle au photos mises. Piscine tout juste rénovée! La région est en plus superbe, je conseil à tout le monde cette destination et cet hôte!

Perfect for us !

From the moment we arrived we loved the place . We were greeted by the housekeeper, unfortunately we were late but she waited for us . The house is simple but very charming, the outdoor area is very special, a real treat .

Une maison pleine de charme ou nous avons passé un excellent séjour. La cuisine est assez rudimentaire mais nous a suffit. Le gros plus est l extérieur : une vaste cour ombragée avec de grands arbres et un jardin ravissant dans lequel se trouve la piscine. Si nous repassons dans le coin, nous reviendrons

dreamy and beautiful

We had a most wonderful time at the property. The vineyards were beautiful, with the grape vines and flowers everywhere. The apartment is roomy though we spent most of our time outside on the veranda and near the pool. The town is small and provided for some walking around a village and for day trips to Sete, Nimes, and the beaches.

Petite maison idéale pour vacances en famille

Nous avons beaucoup apprécié notre séjour. L'environnement extérieur est magnifique et permet de profiter pleinement du soleil. La maison bien que petite conviens tout à fait pour une famille avec 2 jeunes enfants. La communication avec les propriétaires était très facile et nous avons eu tous les renseignements nécessaires. Nous recommandons vivement cette location !

4 Wochen in einem kleinen Paradies

Es war wunderschön. Das kleine "Maison des Vendangeurs " nicht luxuriös, aber funktional, und das Drumherum fantastisch: toller gepflegter Pool, blühender Garten, Sonne und Schatten, wie man es wollte. Und das Ganze in einem Dorf, das man liebgewonnen hat. Wir würden gerne wiederkommen.

Magnifique exterieur et situation

un très bel extérieur arboré, un jardin magnifique et jolie piscine (trop froide lors de notre séjour) à l'abri et une situation géographique parfaite pour visiter la région. Très bon accueil et communication avec le pro Seul bémol la cuisine méritant d'être mieux aménagée et équipée.

Traditionelles Haus mit Garten und Pool

Ferienwohnung im Anbau eines ehemals landwirtschaftlich genutzten Gebäudes in einem grossen abgeschlossenen Hof hinter dem Haupthaus. Durchgang zu einem ebenfalls abgeschlossenen, von den Nachbarn nicht einsehbaren wunderschönen Garten mit Pool. Zentrale, aber ruhige Lage in einem kleinen Dorf. Bäcker, Lebensmittelgeschäft und Restaurants (in der Vorsaison eingeschränkte Öffnüngszeiten) in der Nähe. Im Haus alle notwendigen Gerätschaften vorhanden. Wir hatten einen sehr schönen Aufenthalt.

A place of contrasts

What a contrast. The situation of this accommodation is superb - A private courtyard with swimming pool behind a majestic old house secured by impressive gates. The swimming pool is modern and the garden in which it s set is a delight, and indeed a privilege to share, being a superb sun trap. However the accommodation is a different story. The bedroom and bathroom are fine, the living room downstairs is barely adequate with kitchen arrangements boarding on the unacceptable. One particularly poor feature was the crockery - an odd assortment with almost every piece cracked or chipped. The electrical arrangements of trailing wires we thought almost dangerous. The weather was great so we spent most of our time outside, however there is not a comfortable seat in the accommodation. The settee - the main seating is a bed-settee and is particularly uncomfortable as seating. What a great pity that such a delightful place was spoiled for the want of a little investment! The Village of Aigues Vives is lovely and the 30 min drive to the beach a bonus. So all in all a mixed picture, but the superb weather and the swimming pool, set in the very private courtyard, turned a potential disaster into a great experience.
