It is a very eclectic and period property that grows on you the longer you stay.

Stayed in the Heritage room, it was lovely. Especially enjoyed the gas fire which we sat in front of most evenings wine in hand. Great location right across the road from the beach with plenty of parking options, quick walk to the restaurants and cafe’s.

The property was in a perfect location. Great view of the beach. Plenty of coffee and restaurants very close. Julie the host was available and attentive. Very spacious quiet and the balcony was excellent. The claw foot tub is huge and a nice touch. Thank you!

Was a very nice room, clean and tide with alot of holiday comforts like a bath, fire place, balcony with ovean views and a room with lots of natural light. Would definitely come back and recommend to stay here.

Room with a view
Lovely accommodation with amazing view of the ocean. Watching the waves break over the reef was therapeutic and refreshing. Sipping wine on the balcony as the sun set was just perfect.

Absolutely brilliant. So incredibly comfy and homely. We loved staying here. One of our favourite stopovers in Australia and certainly in the top 10 of over 200 nights spent in hotels, B&Bs and apartments.

Fantastic place to stay!
This was the nicest accommodation on our three week stay in Australia! the room was spacious, beautifully appointed and so comfortable! We have an old house so we were in awe of all the lovely antiques and special touches. It was centrally located and had a good view with a deck and the most comfortable bed! We felt right at home and surrounded by so many lovely things. We planned to stay one night but liked it so much, we opted to stay a second night. This is a real jewel and not to be missed.

Fantastic weekend at a fantastic place
What a lovely place to stay. Quirky and amazing place. So comfortable. Loved that we had some homemade cookies, continental brekkie with what I think was homemade preserves. Fresh real milk and lots of it. Real butter. Our hosts we didn't see much but were lovely when we did. The area has lots of lovely eating places and shops to browse in. We would certainly return.

Eclectic array of furnishings.Very commfortable and clean. Close to some lovely cafes and restaurants Easy to catch public transport into Adealide for the day or drive to McLaren Vale. Would stay again.

Great escape from Sydney or Melbourne
If you are looking to escape the big congested cities this is the place. Room to move and right by the sea, plus close to a vibrant city. Couldn't believe the excellent off-season price we paid for a week for a 'studio with a view'. There are only two guest suites in this guest house by the sea and the owners/caretakers live on the property, so its like being accommodated in your own private wing of an extremely beautiful spacious home on the waterfront. We loved walking on the jetty, the beach and climbing the abundant dunes and sand hills.If you are in to water sports there are facilities to do this. Lots of coffee shops and restaurants and Surf Life-Saving Club nearby. And McCloud House also has a Thai Restaurant and Wine Bar. Adelaide CBD is just 35 minutes drive away via the freeway (or you can catch a train from the Noarlunga Shopping Centre) The area is becoming residential so get there for a visit before it becomes built-up like the east coast.

Great place, amazing view
Thankyou Julie and Bob, we love you place, very clean and beautiful, close to everything and very comfortable bed. Nothing like sitting on the balcony overlooking the ocean with a coffee in the morning. Vino on arrival lovely too. We’ll definitely be back.

A comfortable comforting studio by the sea. We valued the cleanliness and provisions. Extremely well situated for strolling the streets of pt. Noarlunga, beach walks, and driving to local places of interest. Food places nearby if you don't feel like cooking . A long bath for a long bath...

A great locality very close to the beach. Nice room with a large bed, sitting area and well provisioned kitchen and a balcony. Has a big bathroom. The owner Julie was nice and did everything to ensure that we had a comfortable stay. Highly recommend.

Homely apartment conveniently located
We loved our stay at Mc Cloud House. The owners were lovely and thought of every detail to make our stay comfortable. The location of the property is very close to the beach, great restaurants and a few little shops. There is a lot to see and do in the general area so we will stay for longer next time.

Great accomodation and great location
Mc Cloud house is a lively Victorian apartment but with very modern bathroom and kitchen, giving the best of both worlds. This was very relaxing and felt like bei g at home! Julie is very friendly and makes sure you have everything you need including a welcome bottle of wine and things for breakfast. Bed was huge and super comfy (We had the king studio). Right in heart of everything and at the end of the Jerry.

Total false in their advertising.
The owners live there with the beachfront apt. On arrival there was an aggressive dog to greet us. The man walks around at all hours in the night and is quite scary. They live all the doors open with very young children about the place. There is no oven and just two hot plates for a stove. Grossly outraged. Will never go back there again. Surrounding cafes and restaurants are brilliant. Need to find a place to stay there again.

Apartment on the Sea
Our experience was perfect and only marred by the shortness of it. We would have loved to have stayed a few more days. Julie and Bob were friendly and welcoming, everything we needed had already been thought about. Can't wait to return!
