Osaka Aquarium Kaiyukan Tours

The line to get in was very long. They need to apply some sort of shade where people waiting in line....especially during hot weather temperature.

The station of the hotel (Tanimachi Yonchme) is on the same line with the station of Osaka Aquarium (Osakako), which takes around 20 minutes to get there, very convenience.

The entry fee was about $25 with a discount for seniors It is not much different from other large aquariums around the world. You must arrive early and avoid weekends due to the crowds. There is plenty of places to eat and the other attraction is the giant Ferris wheel.

Go early, gets crowded.  Should be on your things to see and do list while in Osaka.

Every elementary school in Osaka was at the aquarium when we went. There isn't much room in the corridors when you walk around in there, so be prepared to be trampled by little ones. When you get to the large, main tank that houses the whale sharks, sharks, and rays, the whole crowd will try to fight for a viewing area immediately. But the main tank is viewable throughout most of the aquarium, so just keep walking down the corridors until you find an open spot.

Generally a good outing with an impressive array of sea life including a whale shark, jellyfish, and the opportunity to touch small sharks.  Just be warned - this place can get extremely busy!
