Relaxing, Cozy, Convenient, 2 mi. from the Creeper Trail/South Holston Lake,

  • Welcome to our Vacation Home. The house offers a huge yard with fire pit and creek located at 26486 Denton Valley Rd. Abingdon, VA. Enjoy watching the birds from the back deck. In the summer we have an abundance of hummingbirds that visit our feeders. We are in the process of converting our 2 acre field into a pollinator's paradise with the addition of a flower farm. The house is only 2 miles from the Creeper Trail and South Holston Lake. It is a 15 minute drive from Abingdon, home of the most famous stage in Virginia - Barter Theatre. Likewise it is only a 15 minute drive to Damascus, the heart of the Creeper Trail with nice restaurants and bike rentals.

    This area is an outdoor lover's dream come true!

    Damascus is also just 12 minutes away and you are not a far drive from Mount Rogers State Park and White Top Mountain. We are located at the midpoint of the open part of the Creeper Trail.

Great place to stay. Near Abingdon and Damascus but also the house is in a private secluded area . House is very clean and has all the amenities of home. Kitchen is equipped to cook a full dinner. Plenty of fluffy white towels for the bathroom. Games are there as well for your use.We used the BBQ and fire pit. Brought our own charcoal and wood which we needed since there was only a small amount in the basement.Yes, we recommend this house.

If your looking for peace and quiet, away from the hustle and bustle of the city, this is the place for you, clean, beds are comfortable, sit out by the campfire, we had a great time. Will definitely try to reserve for next year if we decide to go to Bristol Speedway

Everything at Alvarado was just what we wanted. Privacy, deer, great weather, and a pool table for those times you are waiting for others to get ready or maybe it's not your night to cook. It was wonderful and the host, Marcella, was very accommodating and great to work with!

Nice house in the back country

Check in was simple, house was in great shape. Had all of the necessary items we needed for our stay. Short drive to a great little public use area on the river on the Va Creeper Trail. Wi-Fi worked great which helped because we had no service on our phones.
