Absolutely Perfect!
The photos in the listing do not do this house justice. The views from the garden are spectacular. It doesn’t even seem real! There is everything you could possibly need in the house. Fully stocked kitchen, comfortable beds, floor to ceiling books and a big shower with hot water. We wish that we could move there and stay forever.

Perfection
I hardly want to write this so nobody else books but it would be unfair to gatekeep such a perfect property. I cried when we had to leave! The garden and cliff top setting is just heavenly - we spent hours watching the waves, the birds and the sky change. The cottage is spotless, towels and bedding top quality and kitchen is filled with everything you need! Beforehand hosts responded rapidly and during everything was explained thoroughly so we didn't need to get in touch! Can't recommend enough and will hopefully be booking again in the future! Thank you x

Charming cottage in a wonderful place
A cozy family cottage for 13 days. The view is magnificent. Watching the sunrise in the morning and seeing the children playing in the garden... perfect. In the evenings, playing comfortably in the warm living room made things good for the family. Lisa and David helped us whenever we needed help. I can only recommend it. Thank you for the wonderful time.

Einmalige Lage!
Unser Aufenthalt war - kurz ausgedrückt - klasse. Die Lage des Ferienhauses ist nicht zu übertreffen und im Haus ist alles, was man für einen erholsamen Urlaub braucht, vorhanden. Auch der Standort ist ideal, denn z.B. ist man in knapp 15 Minuten mit der Bahn in Aberdeen oder in ca. 20 Minuten in der schönen Kleinstadt Stonehaven mit einem tollen Strand und einem kleinen Hafen. Wir haben es sehr bedauert, dass wir nicht länger bleiben konnten. Noch einmal ganz herzlichen Dank an Lisa und David! Beste Grüße Sabine & Ingo

Eine wundervoller Aufenthalt
Das Haus ist gepflegt und sehr sauber und mit viel Liebe eingerichtet. Es fehlt an nichts. Es hat eine unvergleichlich tolle Lage direkt oberhalb der Steilküste. Vom Garten aus kann man Seehunde beobachten. Aberdeen ist schnell zu erreichen und in der Umgebung gibt es viele Sehenswürdigkeiten.

Über den Klippen
Wir können das Haus mit dieser perfekten Lage 100% weiterempfehlen. Es ist noch atemberaubender als es auf den Bildern zu erahnen ist. Guter Ausgangspunkt für schöne Ausflüge, besonders für Kids/Teens ( keine Kleinkinder). Perfekt eingericht - Küche gut sotiert, Betten bequem - gute Internetverbindung - sehr nette freundliche Leute i.d. Nachbarschaft. Das perfekte Fleckchen um einen erholsamen Urlaub zu machen.

Wir hatten einen wunderschönes entspannten Urlaub in diesem schönem Haus. Das Haus liegt sehr ruhig am Ende einer Sackgasse. Grundstück und der Ausblick auf das Meer ist atemberaubend. Wir waren bei der Ankunft überwältigt. Es war wunderschön.

Very stylishly and also practically furnished cottage at the end of a small road. Wonderful location with lake view and direct access to the sea via a path into the Cliffs. Seal watching possible from the garden. Quiet nice neighbourhood. Great sitting area in the conservatory - very nicely furnished living room with library - couldn't be better.

A place to relax
It is a lovely cottage with a realy nice winter garden. Many good books on the bookshelf and a lot of information about the surroundings. Very comfortable beds. And last, important for the kids, a good wifi. The view of the North Sea was amazing. We saw seals and dolphins.

A delightful homely, cosy cottage
Wow!! This cottage is so cosy and the location is fab! On entering this lovely fisherman’s cottage we were very impressed. The cottage had such a nice atmosphere and accommodated all of our needs. You could tell everything had been carefully thought about in order to guarantee an enjoyable stay for guests of all ages. The weather was pretty terrible during our stay, preventing us from taking advantage of the delightful spacious garden and fantastic dramatic location. However, our little sausage dogs still enjoyed running around and as the cottage had a wonderful selection of books for to occupy our time and as it was so comfortable, we couldn’t have wished for a better place to be stuck indoors when the rain came down and the mist moved in. The hosts were also very helpful and friendly. So overall we really enjoyed our 5 night stay and hope to return in the warmer months. If we can get booked up of course! We would definitely recommend this property, it’s great!!

Amazing little place for our young family
We were in the area visiting family and found this place only minutes from where our family lived. This was an amazing little place for our young family, our eldest boy (age 4) and twin girls (16 months) fitted right in and loved their rooms upstairs. It was just the right size for the five of us and had everything we needed including washing machine which was a lifesaver with the kids! Very helpful hosts that were able to help us when required, and lovely neighbors too. We loved waking up to the amazing sunrises, being able to just relax in the cottage, great selection of books which had the attention of anyone who popped in to visit us. Such a great little place, we will definitely be looking to be back again soon.

Lovely, quiet holiday
My husband and I enjoyed a week-long holiday at this lovely seaside cottage. The view from the front is spectacular and my husband often found himself wandering down the garden to enjoy the view and the sound of waves crashing against the rocks. We were fortunate to see a pod of dolphins one afternoon, jumping about, as well. The location was perfect for being able to head up and down the coast and inland. Aberdeen is very close and it’s not a bad drive to some of the castles, such as Drum, Dunnottar and Crathes. The cottage itself is cosy and comfortable and owners are quick to respond if you have a question or problem. Highky recommend this property, especially couples and small families.

Family visit
The cottage was warm and comfortable and well equipped. The log burner was extra cosy in the evening in January. Our visit was to see grandchildren in Aberdeen and staying at the cottage made it a seaside holiday as well as a family get together. It has a quiet and remote feeling with all the conveniences close by.

Relocation stay
Booked in for our relocation into Aberdeen that allowed us to come in with our furbies. Great little cottage equipped to cater for our big family of 5. Tucked away near the edge the views are amazing. Getting used to the winter weather has been a challenge but this cottage kept us snug and warm, well protected. Hosts have been great in communications, highly recommended!

Visiting family
We wanted to come here 2 years ago but COVID prevented the visit. Last year the dates were full. This year we got our wish - and were not disappointed! The cottage was clean, comfortable, cosy and so quiet. Everything we needed for cooking was provided in the well equipped kitchen. The beds were warm and comfortable. The library in the living room was fantastic. I brought my own books but never opened them as I was too busy looking at the ones on the shelves! Sitting there with the woodburner on was a perfect place to be. The sunrises seen from the the conservatory were fantastic and the storm we had was viewed in comfort and warmth. We were truly sad to leave and will definitely return (if allowed). P.s. the pheasants hiding in the bushes frightened the life out of me when we came back in the dark and brought in the washing off the line, lol! 😊

Great location!!
Cottage is in a lovely location. Garden overlooking the sea. Many an hour sitting on garden bench watching the dolphins. The seals sang us to sleep at night!!

Great cottage by the sea
Great little cottage, clean, tidy, well equipped. Now for the view … WOW the sunrises were unreal and definitely worth getting up early for Sat for hours gazing out on the sea, watched seals at the bottom of the garden and saw dolphins further out to sea.. lots to do and see in the area. A great base if you can tear your bum off the seat at the bottom of the garden. And away from the view. Thanks Lisa and David we loved our stay xx

A perfect place
A perfect holiday. A beautiful house with lots of space and a breathtaking view of the sea. The children can play, the parents can relax. Books, DVDs, telescope, there was no lack. The seals were the highlight and the location ideal for excursions. Thank you Lisa and David for a wonderful holiday. We would love to come back again soon!

Fantastisches Cottage
Wir haben die Woche in diesem fantastischen Cottage sehr genossen. Die Aussicht von unserer Klippe hinter dem Garten ist sensationell. Wir bedauern, dass wir nur eine Woche gebucht haben. Das Häuschen ist sehr liebevoll eingerichtet. In der Küche ist alles vorhanden, was für das Kochen benötigt wird. Da der Schlüssel hinterlegt ist, sind auch An- und Abreise sehr entspannt.

Lovely seaside cottage
Such a lovely setting for a perfect cottage. My adult son and I visited—he spent most of the week either playing or watching golf. I stayed at the cottage and read, drank hot tea, and loved sitting on the bench at the end of the garden. We both had a wonderful time!

Seaside dream

Gorgeous sea views and lovely cottage
The cottage is in a perfect position with an uninterrupted view of the sea across the garden. We spent most of our holiday in the sun lounge and on the cliff top bench gazing out to sea. Inside, the cottage is well equipped and furnished, with lots of books to choose from. There is a downstairs main bedroom and shower room which we needed as we can't climb stairs. We both have limited mobility and so could not go for the gorgeous cliff top walks in the area. So it was important for us to have a comfortable base to relax in. There is lots to see and visit in the region.

Review
A nicely located cottage with good shopping in easy reach by car. The facilities were mostly good but we found it necessary to wash all the cutlery, china and pans before using them. The microwave requires standing on a chair to use. The upstairs bedrooms have sloping ceilings and standing is only possible in the very centre of the room. A useful guide to things to see and places to go gave us some ideas. A telescope and binoculars were available for looking out to sea. The heating system was not good. The user instructions referred to controls that did not exist. Instead an app controlled the heating to which we had no access. After a bit of research we managed to find a way to keep warm but this is really not good enough for a coastal cottage in Scotland in April. There are plenty of ups but enough downs for us to look elsewhere next time.

I have to say your review surprises me since you are the first to say it is cold since many of our guests have found it quite warm. There is a thermostatic controller in the house for guests to control but we could have easily helped you if you had let us know. Glad you enjoyed the view and found the brochure useful. Gorgeous cottage
Everything we needed was in this beautiful cottage, it was so cozy and warm. The kitchen was well equipped ( we needed the washing machine as we had rain, snow, wind, sleet and sun!) The beds we used were really comfortable , however, the mattress on the right side was too hard and uncomfortable for us. The cosy lounge was comfortable and the fire burner was great. Lots of choice for books and games. We loved the sun room, the views are spectacular! We would definitely rebook if we were to return to Aberdeen. We had a fantastic week, lots of fresh air and walks, looking at castles and even played in the snow up at Glenshee! Old Aberdeen beach and St Cyrus we’re absolutely gorgeous! Thankyou Lisa and David, I loved the chocolate cookies you left us!

Fabulous!!!
Perfect property in a wonderful location. Very warm, cosy inviting cottage. Owners and thought of everything and more. Welcomed our 2 dogs who loved the large garden and sunbathing in the conservatory where we spent most of our time seal, whale and dolphin watching. Lots of great walks from the cottage and nearby.

Great cottage with amazing views
Absolutely loved the location of this fisherman’s cottage, felt a million miles from home on the coast of east Scotland. My boys spent everyday staring through binoculars out into the blue. Wonderful hosts, comfy beds and crackling fire when the snow was falling - what more could you ask for?

Stunning cottage!
What a place to stay for my husbands 60th birthday. It will be a trip we will never forget. From the moment we arrived till the day we left, we felt sooo lucky to have stumbled upon this gem of a place. We will definitely be back in the future as all the family had a blast including our border collie "odie" who loved running about the garden in the peace and tranquility. Highly recommend staying at this beautiful cottage!

A North Sea Dream
Book some time at this idyllic cottage immediately! The setting is absolutely stunning, as the end of the front yard is the start of the North Sea. We lived in the front porch as much as possible. One morning at breakfast we were greeted by dolphins. Meals were more delicious and work seemed more manageable with a spectacular view. We also appreciated the cozy family room with plenty of blankets, books and comfortable furniture. The kitchen is solid. You will find everything you need, and, a very decent grocery store is quite close. David and Lisa were easy, kind hosts. They were helpful and responsive, yet never got in the way. The bedrooms upstairs might get a bit hot depending on the time of year, but the sky windows open and create a lovely sleeping environment. Castles are close. Walking paths are close. Aberdeen is close. Neighbors are friendly. We had fun at the neighborhood pub, and the food was decent. This place is something out of a novel. You will love it. Thank you, David and Lisa!
