Shenandoah House about 5 minutes walk from the beach and is close to local shops, restaurants and cafes. It is also within walking distance to the Turner Gallery and Dreamland.

The guy running the hotel is very friendly and if you have any issue or request you can whatsapp him rather than going to reception, which I found super convenient. I wish more hotels did that! "Excellent hotel. Everything is well laid out and perfectly furnished from the elegant bathrooms to the welcoming rooms. Even the stairs are perfect with their quality wooden flooring. The whole building has a good feel to it.

The voucher for a cocktail in the basement bar was a delightful surprise. The basement bar with its Saturday DJ may be catering for the younger generation, but it was great fun, even for us with only few grey hairs...
"Lovely olde world pub-restaurant. Excellent food, both breakfasts and evening meals.This is a real heart of the community pub, with lots going on, including a Petanque match, when we were there. Check-in at the bar was easy. The service was very friendly and excellent throughout. A well stocked bar, including a local beer, 'Gem' by name and 'Gem' by nature. The en-suite double room was clean and comfortablebut you are better off relaxing in the bars downstairs, where there was two dining lounges...

Breakfast was excellent and far far beyond anything that you would expect at a pub type of stay. Location was quiet and a great base to explore Kent and the coastline.
