Being a smaller, local company they are able to provide excellent, personal service and support and have a detailed knowledge of the area. You cannot get this from larger agencies. Our stay at Lake View Cottage was very good. It was very clean, comfortable and well equipped and in an ideal yet quiet location for accessing all of the north Lake District and coast."

We also found the email communication and friendliness of Keswick Cottages shop staff to be exactly what one would hope from a holiday cottage letting company. "We had a wonderful stay in this cosy, quiet cottage with plenty of space and everything you needed. The beds were very comfortable, the kitchen well stocked but, you will need to bring any essentials salt and pepper, oil, etc. very nice pet welcome pack and packs of welcome with tea and cleaning items. There is a village shop nearby and several pub restaurants. There are a number of great walks on your doorstep from easy to more challenging without needing drive.. A beautiful area to explore so...

"This cottage is perfect for anyone wishing to base themselves at Keswick. Great bus service so you don’t have to use the car. Only complaint would have been a lighter duvet on bed as being a soft East Anglian we don’t even use that tog in the winter! The cottage is great though with a lovely back garden which it would have been nice to sit in but unfortunately it rained most of the time we were there."

"We had a fantastic stay at Mill house. It was spotlessly clean, comfortable,well equipped, and in a great location. Everything was exactly as described and we would happily recommend it to others. The only issue we encountered was with the hob. We were unable to get it working during our stay, although we were unsure whether this was down to user error on our part or if there was a fault with the appliance. It maybe helpful for future guests if clearer operation instructions were...
