"Great location, very clean and excellent communication"

"We booked Nags Hotel as we needed somewhere close to the Racecourse. It is a nice quiet hotel. The room was small but for the price was great for 1 night. When we came down for dinner the restaurant and pub was packed out. We went out to see what was close by but they were all takeaway places. We eventually found a small table back at the Pub. "Far too many long-term residents and they are very chummy with the staff. Up yelling and screaming in the common room, calling indoors without meaningful comments from staff. I felt like we were guests in THEIR house. No secure storage in the dorms. Eva at the front desk was great with local suggestions."

"Retro style little motel. Easy check in, as we arrived late at night and the room was set up for us to just walk in and collapse. Clean facilities. Within very short drive of a fab cafe - onyx - where we went for a pretty awesome brekky the next day."

"Mark Studio Apartments are run by Cardiff Executive Apartments. There is no reception area. You call them on arrival and they text you details. We received alternative accomodation details in Jesmond which was off putting. We called back and not understanding why the change, we insisted on our original booking which they reluctantly gave us. The accomodation was as described and we parked on the property for free. The only downside was noise from some of the permanent residents late at night and...
