"Beautiful home - very solidly built in the craftsman style. Very walkable - Mike’s ice cream is a 6 min walk, many other places are close. Parking in the garage is great, but you can’t close the garage door from the outside. What people say about the stairs is true - there are 17 stairs to get to the main living area, and another 16 stairs to get to the bedrooms. This wasn’t a problem for us, but it was difficult for my elderly father. The one floor suite right next door was perfect for him...

"Just 10 blocks from historic Hood River, beautiful old buildings and very nice shops. Easy drive to the waterfalls or east to The Dalles area. The Mt Hood loop is a must see as well. "Our stay was good, that being said. It’s listed as being secluded and private. It’s far from private and only secluded because of the location. The need to list that the hot tub is not private and it is not next to the house.. it’s across the muddy pine needle filed parking area and down a muddy trail. The hot tub is a great feature, but if your looking for seclusion and privacy.. this may not be the place for you. The house has a spa bathtub, that would be great if the neighbors construction...

"The house had everything we could possibly need for our stay. The furnishings, the beds and bedding, the kitchen supplies - all were great. We had one sunny day when we enjoyed the magnificent view from the deck. When the rains came on day two, the view was different, but still beautiful. The location is wonderful, and we were able to easily explore Hood River, White Salmon, and the surrounding areas. Would definitely rent here again."
