La Fortuna is a small town in Costa Rica, located northwest of the capital, San José. It is famous because it serves as entrance to the Arenal Volcano National Park, which houses two volcanoes. The Arenal volcano is active and still contains lava flows. At the foot of the volcano you can find the thermal waters. On the other hand, the Chato volcano is inactive and has a lake in its crater and paths through the rainforest that lead to the Rio Fortuna waterfall and its natural pool.
