Right by Van Dusen Gardens!
Beautiful house, comfy bedding, luxury accommodation. The staff was very knowledgeable and gave us dining and sightseeing recommendations. Breakfast was tasty- a baked apple custard and stoneground oats. They are updating their furniture this week so it will be even nicer.

Likes: the staff were very helpful and courteous. The size of the room was good. The house was located on a bus route to get into the city centre. We felt that we could come and go as we pleased. Beverages were available in the dining room 24 hours per day. Dislikes: the owners appeared to be living on past glories and they were saving on costs. In our bathroom, 3 lights had had their bulbs removed, no headboard on the bed, damaged decor not repaired, chair seat cushions used as cushions for the settee, there was a notice saying that if you take shampoo from the bathroom you would be charged (we were paying 400 Canadian dollars per night and we stayed six nights). No greeting from a human being, all key codes to enter the house and room. The bathroom looked as though it had been installed in the 1970s and hadn’t been updated. Very noisy road in a residential area, lacking amenities such as shops and cafes. We don’t recommend this accommodation, better accommodation is in plentiful supply in Vancouver. Try the Georgian Court hotel as a comparison.

It was amazingly clean and quiet even though there were about 10 other people there, we didn’t realize it until morning. It had all the amenities of a hotel, best shower I’ve ever had. Bed was comfortable, room a good size with fridge & safe. I would highly recommend this B&B even to those who only do hotels. Give it a chance.

Good location to go by bus to the Waterfront.Walking distance to the botanical garden. Difficult to find: idea: put up a flagpole with the Canadian flag to guests can easier find the B&B. Staff excellent.

Close to our boat on Granville Island. Easy to find. Secure parking where we could see our car. Friendly & professional staff. Delicious breakfast, generous portions. Clean and well organized. Safe & secure. A safe in the walk in closet for valuables. Comfortable bed and sofa, jetted tub was luxurious! Very pleased with everything. Quiet room. Didn't even know there were other guests until we saw them at breakfast.

The owners took care of us from the moment we arrived early to extending our stay, all of which were seamless. They recommended things to do and places to stay. The breakfast was amazing!👍 Personally created daily, and served in a very timely manner. We even had my second daughter and boyfriend come for breakfast on 2 of the mornings. Safety is a priority for the hosts which is key to a relaxing holiday.

Owners were lovely :) Was easy to find and quite clean . Would have liked a variety for breakfasts , we stayed four days. Bed was a tad hard , we prefer it to be a bit softer but that's just us. Over all we would stay again , was very nice!

Great stay
A few days before our stay we got the codes to get into the B&B and our room. When we arrived, we had no problem finding the place, parking, getting in, and finding our room. The room was immaculate with a larger than expected bathroom (we had two sinks and a large soaking tub) as well as a small refrigerator, coffee maker and tea selection (there was more tea and coffee selections in the kitchen area). The bed was quite comfortable and both of us got a great night sleep. Breakfast was delicious, they had organic Irish Steel Cut Oats out with toppings and the entree was a hot baked egg dish. They handled my dietary restriction brilliantly (which is always a stressful part of travel for me). Randy served breakfast and have us ideas of things to do and see. He was very friendly and informative. Overall, it was a great stay and we will definitely stay here again as well as recommending them to our friends.

You are the guest from Victoria that booked 3 "Last Minute Non-Refundable" nights with Expedia last weekend. When you arrived, you wanted to cancel your last night, with refund. I said you HAVE to cancel with Expedia, and we refund the night if re sold. You did not cancel with Expedia, so we could not re sell your room, but we were otherwise full at both our properties that night. Please, if you are going to leave a 1/5 review, please comment so we can all understand your issue.

Granville B & B a great place
We had a comfortable stay at the Granville B & B. The lady was very friendly. The place was quiet and we liked that. It is convenient with the key code for entry. We stay there again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Granville House. We arrived early and Randy suggested a wonderful lunch option located within a beautiful public park. We would not have discovered either on our own, so our visit to Vancouver got off to a very cool start. Granville House, and our room were exceptional, and the breakfast each morning was simple, nutritious and delicious. My wife and I had a great experience and would highly recommend this property.

Excellent bed and breakfast, quite distance from shopping and restaurants but on bus route if you do not have a car. We stayed low season, therefore, continental breakfast. Would have liked a little more variety for breakfast such as muffins and fresh berry fruits. Otherwise, no complaints. Hosts very attentive. Would definitely stay at Granville B&B. The front rooms face a very busy and noisy road. i found it impossible to sleep with earplugs and a pillow over my head. Another guest complained about the noise, but got some medical cannabis so she could sleep.

I'm sorry that you found the Elm Junior suite difficult for you to sleep in. As we advertise on our website, the Elm Junior is situated on the main level facing Granville Street and we suggest those who are sensitive to sound choose one of our other rooms. Although we did find your solution method mentioned rather unique, we personally cannot promote it. Thank you for choosing us and we wish you the best.

Very comfortable and large room. Michelle was very helpful with recommendations for restaurants. Nice hot breakfast and all-day self service hot drinks. Nice and quiet location but you will need a car or a bus pass to get around. Try to visit the wonderful Botanical Gardens nearby.

The b&b was in a great location for the things we wanted to do. The room was comfortable and a lovely hot entree was available every morning. The owners were friendly and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

A pearl!
Surprisingly lovely BB in Vancouver. Way more than the photos tell. Lots of traffic outside, but with the room facing the garden, it was very quiet. Very comfy bed. Nice staff, and super breakfast. Regrett we could not stay there for more than one night.

The location itself is great, however it is quiet noisy during the day because of proximity to mainstreet. Very cozy and nice interior, friendly staff, good breakfast, just missed some eggs. Very clean.

Yummy breakfasts. Great location. Front room had traffic noise if window was open but very quiet if closed. If you are not familiar with Vancouver, the host is a fantastic source of info and could give some great suggestions about the area.

Thank you for the fantastic host comment. The shower nozzle was most likely our fancy Grohe Aquatower2000 thermostat shower (one valve is water temperature, the other is water pressure). This can take some getting use to, but you won't want to go back to the old hot+cold after. We are in the process of ordering new robes from a different supplier. Even if your truck was a tight fit, the parking is free and plentiful at Granville House B&B. Some customers park 40' motor homes on the side streets 2 doors down (also free of charge) .

We had an all day Sunday meeting at the Van Dusen Botanical Gardens and we walked from the B&B. The B&B was also easy to get to from the hotel using the Canada Line and a taxi from the Oakridge Shopping Centre

A lovely, comfortable and very well run B and B. The food was delicious and plentiful. Great public transit. The only drawback is the fact that it is situated on a busy street so there was quite a bit of road noise, even with all windows closed, in our front room. This would probably not be an issue in a room facing the back. We will definitely stay there again.

This was my second stay at the Granville House, and I would stay here again in a heartbeat. Beautiful room, great location for me with respect to the family that I was visiting, lovely breakfast. I look forward to my next stay.
