Super cute place, excellent location, easy check-in with door code, was allowed to check in early which was great. I would definitely stay again. The only thing that kept me from giving 5 stars was the fact that the body wash was empty.

I did self check in and self check out so I didn't see the staff. Noise was a problem from people upstairs walking around with shoes. But I like the location we walk to restaurants and shopping. I definitely I estoy there next time.

No on site office/personnel had some obvious drawbacks. But overall it was a decent place, and a very good location to the stateline/gondola areas. I would stay there again.

Had a first floor king room that appeared completely renovated with a stylish, high-end, look and feel. Received a code for the door (no keys needed), with fast, contact-less check in. This was new to me, and I found it innovative and efficient. There is dining and shopping a short walk away. This was a great value, and I would gladly return.

Great stay in a convenient location
My partner and I had a fantastic stay at the Blue Jay Lodge. The check-in process was smooth and the keypad locks were especially convenient (no room card necessary). The room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. Most importantly, the lodge is walking distance to Heavenly Village so if you can avoid having to pay the newly implemented parking fees if you plan to ski.

Something a little different.
The Blue Jay lodge was a really nice clean facility, but it was different than most motels in the area. It's something of a motel/airbnb hybrid. There is no one there to check you in, you are sent the room number of combination an hour before you arrive, and it's all very hands off. This works for me, but it's something I didn't understand before booking. It's a little farther away from the village than the places I normally stay but still close. I will definitely consider it again in the future.

Room needs to be properly cleaned, disinfected. Sheets are 100 polyesters. Feels like sleeping on plastic. It was horrible. Lots of static to be on a plastic material sheets.

The room was clean. The location is great —super convenient access to casinos/Heavenly district. The room heating was awful—set the digital temp and the thermostat maintained the temp /- 5 degrees. There was no way to simply set a comfortable temperature. We were constantly too cold or roasting throughout the night. Oh, and the air blows right on you if you’re on that side of the bed. Then there’s the excessively loud mini fridge. The bath towels were super thin. Pretty sure the shower curtain and the minimal decor were picked up on markdown at Ross. The bed was super soft, which is not good in my book. The pillows seemed to be twin sized on a queen bed. The Expedia listing says “no pets allowed” but the motel has a “guest book” and signage announcing that “pets are always welcome.” Thankfully, our room didn’t smell like a dog. I appreciate that this place is relatively cheap compared to most in the surrounding area; but I believe they could afford to maintain a little higher standard while still delivering good value.

Excellent stay, recommend!!
Stayed here with a couple of friends and we highly enjoyed our stay! When we first got to the lodge the check in was all through email, with a door code sent earlier that day which made it very easy. The inside of our room was very clean and spacious. The staff we ran into were very friendly. The location was perfect; within walking distance to shops, restaurants and the Tahoe Blue Event Center!

Parking got a bit crowded later at night, but the stay was perfect. The rooms are adorable and clean. I especially loved the fact that we were able to skip the check in altogether.
