Wonderful Host Experience
Mia is timely, organized, a lovely host to deal with! The property was exactly as listed and we enjoyed our stay. Perfect layout for a bachelorette party at an extremely reasonable price.

Spacious & Cute
We very much enjoyed our stay! The property was so cute, the communication with the property manager was excellent, location was convenient, the living rooms had fabulous furniture, and lots of beds and lots of towels so everyone was comfortable! We were running out of tp and had to buy paper towels by the end, and had to warn every ride share driver about the giant pothole right out front (which I know is out of the cottage’s control). But aside from that, it was a perfect stay!! So glad we picked it and will definitely keep Old Lala’s Cottage close at mind when planning future trips to New Orleans!!

Great location
Great location. House set up/layout was weird -it was ok for a girls trip but prob not for couples. As master bedroom had attached room with 2 daybeds and trundles. And extra space that you can use attaches to master as well. AC struggled in the summer heat. Street only parking. It all worked for my group of friends.

Fun. Safe. Cute!
This property was great for my bachelorette party. All the girls felt safe and had plenty of space in the house! This Vrbo is a good central location with shorter Uber rides to places you might want to see in New Orleans. I would use this property again!

Gorgeous comfortable home
We reserved the whole house for our 12-person group, which contained 3 families and a single, for our elopement. The house is gorgeous, spotless and affords privacy for separate parties plus room for everyone to socialize at once. Mia is the best host I have ever had at a VRBO- welcoming, helpful and so warm and friendly. A+ for her and her home!

This cute, older cottage has an authentic vibe. The location is convenient to fun shopping and dining. Great coffee, donuts, and shrimp po-boys are within a block or two. Short Uber rides got us where we wanted to go but you could easily use public transportation, if desired. The hostess left a few treats in the fridge for our weary travelers. Plenty of fresh towels and coffee mugs were provided. Overall, a nice place for our group of 12 family members to gather and spend time together while exploring New Orleans!

Good location & clean house
Our check-in was rocky due to VRBO's inadequate communication with the owner. Upon realizing the problem, the owner made a special trip to make sure everything was OK. The house accommodated our group of 6 very comfortably. The location is convenient to downtown and parking on the street was easy. I would book again.

Clean neighborhood! The house is huge it was perfect for my bachelorette party plenty of rooms plenty of beds everything is as pictured. You can tell that this is a party house because there’s stains on all the pillows and in the carpet from what looks like throw up. Communication was lacking but overall great stay.

Lots of beds in New Orleans
We enjoyed our stay. Lots of beds but folks do have to share rooms; if you have a big group that doesn't need private rooms, this is an awesome place. One tip: you have to bring your own soap for the showers, as soap (or any shampoo) is not provided. There is hand soap in a dispenser on the wall, however. Great house for a big group; very nicely decorated.

Perfect Family New Orleans Getaway
I was so excited when I found this creole cottage that would fit all of us. We had a range of ages from 5-40 and wanted to be far, yet close to Bourbon st. We were able to rent to whole house which did not disappoint. House had welcome water, juice and snacks which were a plus. Found out there was a Walmart near by which was also a plus for last minute items. A few restaurants were within walking distance and they were delicious. Four stars for Property owner being a little slow to respond, no assigned street parking, and the road to the house about broke my car (major potholes). Regardless of those things We would stay here again with the family!

Phenomenal spot for a Nola stay
We loved the house. We had 11 and rented both sides. Plenty of room, loved the snacks abs drinks they had waiting in the kitchen so we had a minute to get settled before running back out. The home is great for group, excellent location for adventures in the Garden District by foot abs the rest of the city with easy, central access.

Great location
We loved the location and hospitality of this property. Thankful for the thoughtful groceries provided. The house had everything we needed and was perfect for our group. Could use some restocking of dishes and glasses, but wasn’t a problem since we didn’t eat at the house much anyways. We had a great weekend exploring NOLA!

Location was great and convenient with plenty of parking and safety. The owner was very easy to communicate with and was very helpful. There was plenty of bed space. We wished there was more closet and bathroom space, and more seating in living room.

Lala house family getaway
We almost didn't make our family trip due to historic flooding in Houston. Our host was great and tried to communicate with us and help us out. Good news is that all 16 of us made it to Lala house (some of us a day late). We enjoyed NOLA and had a great family vacation. The home is clean, spacious, and has everything you need for a great stay.

Where old Friends come together!
I can not say enough about this house and all of its accommodations! The location was perfect for our bachelor party (close enough to enjoy all of NOLA, but far enough away from Bourbon Street to feel like a retreat). The place was clean and beautiful and perfect for our bachelorette party. The owners were super accommodating and helpful and easy to work with. Charming historic home in a great location. Clean, comfortable and well maintained.
Mia and Emmanuel were amazing hosts! From the breakfast items provided to the welcome feel of their home, everything was fantastic. They have begun a new transportation service, which we used, and are knowledgeable about the area as well as being competitively priced. This property and their hospitality made our visit perfect! We are hopeful to stay at this same home on our next trip to New Orleans.

Awesome place that sleeps many in a great location
We rented both sides of the property for our group of over 10 people - multiple kitchens, bathrooms and bedrooms made it feel not cramped at all. Communication was great and Mia had excellent recommendations for catering food in for our large group. Would highly recommend this place! Turkey and the Wolf is within walking distance - best sand which I’ve ever had!

Mother's and sister's birthday week end (Jan. 19 -21, 2018)
Great location to stay in. Close to nearby restaurants.and shops on Magazine St, and not that far from the French Quarters. We were able to check in early and get settled without any problems. My family and I, enjoyed ourselves during our stay. I would stay here again and would recommend it to others.

Great house for a big group! Safe area right in the middle of everything on Market St.
We had a great trip. The house was perfect for our large group and everyone was comfortable. The neighborhood was very safe and well lit at night. It was an easy under drive to the French quarter, stadium, warehouse district, and the shops on market street.

Awesome Stay!!!
We went for Labor Day to celebrate my sister's Bachelorette trip and let me just say this house was more then we expected!!!! We were 13 girls and we had plenty of room for us all, it was very clean and decor was very Nola feel! She left us some breakfast foods & juices which I thought was very nice of Mia to give us! Mia was one of the easiest renters I've ever dealt with, she worked with me on anything I needed help with! She even let us check in a couple hours early! The home is very close to everything, I would highly recommend this home to anyone! Thanks again Mia for everything!

The property is quaint. It is an old home so do no expect all amenities to work up to modern tech.
The house is okay for a large group. The towels smelled moldy so we had to rewash before using them. The showers did not all have hot water. The upstairs gets very warm as circulation in the house is not optimal. The owner/manager of the house (Mia) is difficult to work with. From the first day, she asked that the contract be placed into the mailbox within 3 hours of arrival. The mailbox was locked so we placed the contract nearby her garden stones in the front porch so she could easily retrieve it. She did not pick it up that evening or the next day. It happened to rain on our last day so the contract was wet, which Mia complained about. However, that was not our responsibility at that point as she was supposed to pick it up within 3 hours of our arrival. Just a head's up before checking out of this place, take all sheets off the beds otherwise she will not refund your deposit. You pay a fee for cleaning of the house so you would think that a cleaning crew could handle that, but she will find any reason to take the goodwill deposit as well. I understand we left a few decorations but nothing that couldn't be thrown away in 2 minutes. But we emptied all the trashes, did the dishes, and even swept. This is much more than I have ever done for any home rental property. You would think the rental fees would cover some of these basic things, but I guess not. Furthermore, one of her handymen or lawn care guys left open the side gate of the house and she blamed us for it. She claims there are videocameras showing her men didn't do it, but she does not share the footage with you.

Fabulous home near the convention center
My team enjoyed our stay, we loved the home. With 9 ladies we were pleased to have an abundant amount of towels. We rented both side of the house and Mia was super helpful and responsive when I needed to find the washer/dryer, iron etc.

A lot of thought and consideration were put into this home. Just about all adults drank coffee and a keurig with the pod coffee was provided. Juice and bottled water were left in the fridge. Nice.

Awesome house on a youth program budget!
What a wonderful place to stay! We came here with our youth group and advisors (12 of us) and could not have picked a better place. The house is lovely and spacious with all the comforts of home, and our hostess, Mia, made sure we had everything we needed. It's only a 3 minute walk to Magazine Street with many dining options, too. If you're traveling with a large family or a group, this is your place - it is outstanding!
