HOME AWAY FROM HOME
This place definitely deserves a five-star rating across the board. The location is absolutely perfect, and the deck adds a nice touch to the overall experience. Our kids were mesmerized by the boats passing by, and we had an incredible time as a family. Despite the rain during our trip, we still managed to relax and enjoy quality time together. The space was more than enough for everyone, and our host was exceptional. We are definitely planning on staying here again next time we're in town, assuming it's available. Trust me, you won't regret booking this place.

The property was very nice just farther from Front Street than indicated on web site. However, traveling around natchitoches was very easy. House was well stocked and comfortable. Host quickly fixed water leak when notified.

Perfect home
We stayed here for a short trip to visit the area during the Christmas holidays. Everything was just perfect for our family's needs. Bedrooms upstairs for the kids with a tv, fishing pier for my 3 boys to fish, & private master bed & bath for my husband and I. Doordash was available for us for a couple meals as well. Close to everything and loved having a waterfront view from the outside deck. Beautiful interior design! We also loved playing with the checkers game in the living room. Would definitely stay here again if ever in the area.

Unique home
We were traveling to see the annual Natchitoches Christmas Fest. The home is on the Cane River a few miles outside of Natchitoches. Our grandchildren loved the decor. It made for a great weekend.

Great spot!
Great location. Loved the cool stairs. Make sure the beds work out for your group - one bed is very small. The deck was so nice. The front door was hard to figure out and we could have used more instructions. Good communication. I was awakened by a large bug crawling across me, unfortunately - but on the bayou in Louisiana, it's hard to avoid.

Beautiful place. We loved it. The only thing the ladies complained about was the WiFI access, but this forced us to play games and not play on our phone. Highly recommend it.

Family time!
The home was clean, comfortable, and great location. The hosts quick to respond and pleasant. We enjoyed boating in the beautiful cane river, fishing, shopping on front street in Natchitoches, and great restaurants. One of our best nights was a friendly family competition of cards provided by host at the house. Great weekend!

Awesome Stay
House is in a great location, close to restaurants and shopping. The house is very clean, very well stocked and had everything we needed. We had a very comfortable stay and will definitely be back. Love Natchitoches! Beautiful place.

Bed accommodations unsatisfactory.
When we searched for this property I made it clear there would be three elderly couples. Yes, it does have three bedrooms and beds for six people. HOWEVER, you would have to sleep 2 in the master bedroom, 3 in bedroom number #2 (One on the double bed, one on a single day bed, and one on the trundle underneath the day bed), and 1 in bedroom #3. Also, bedroom #3 is as small as a closet and had a single bed and a chair. The closet was locked. No place to open a suitcase or to hang clothes. Bottom line is these accommodations did not meet the needs of three COUPLES. I would only recommend this house to maybe one couple with a few small kids. The back deck looking over the river was awesome! The rest was just less than average for all other VRBO properties we have rented over the years. Steve T

Given the ample photos of the custom wooden tree limb stair case and sleeping arrangements we leave it to our guests to determine accessibility that may or may not meet their needs. Sister Trip
This was our first time traveling with all six sisters. We had a great time. The house was very well-stocked with essentials. We were very comfortable. We love the rustic cabin decor and totally appreciated the holiday decor. I do have one suggestion. It would have been great to have a full length mirror in one of the bathrooms or on a closet door. Just a thought. Totally loved our Natchitoches experience.

My mother's 81st Birthday
My mother was born and raised in Natchitoches. We traveled from Texas and surprised her with friends and family for her celebration. She enjoys fishing and this property was the perfect spot. She raved how beautiful the architectural structure was and how well she enjoyed the atmosphere. She mentioned, she could do this again soon. This property made her celebration well worth the drive. To witness the huge smile on her face was priceless.

Beautiful and peaceful !
Had a long weekend of fall baseball at NSU and loved the accessibility of shopping but the slow down of “country” life drinking coffee on the back deck! We loved being able to cook and grill steaks for our college student as well as the amazing decorum of the home!! Hopefully we will be able to come stay at this property again! The only downside for some would be no WiFi but as an avid reader, personally it was a great disconnect!

We really enjoyed our stay. The layout was good. The beds are very comfortable. The house was very cozy with all the amenities of home. It is decorated nicely, and a tree built into the house...very clever. The outdoor patio and docks were also very cozy. It's a few miles into historical Natchitoches and to shopping and restaurants. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend to travels.

Relaxing and comfortable!
The house is great! We had a wonderful time. Clean, comfortable and beautiful. Location is convenient to town and the deck and docks offer great outdoor relaxing (weather permitting). A couple minor notes... we visited in cooler weather so the upstairs rooms were quite warm while downstairs was slightly cool. The concrete floors are beautiful and a smart choice, but chilly even in stocking feet. The view is.... ok. It's basically a subdivision along the river. Not much "nature" .... but not ugly. Overall.... a great stay though. We would recommend.

Better than expected!
We had a lovely time at Nick's place. The online photos don't do the house justice, very adorable and pleasantly surprised. The location, on the river, was a huge plus. So nice to unplug and do some fishing. Not a bad drive into the amazing historic district. Love, love, love Natchitoches!!
