Tin Roof weekend
Very nice place for a gathering. The weather was very rainy in the evening and cold so we unfortunately couldn't use the fire pit but the place was so nice we still had a great time.

Little Getaway to relax
We had a great time at Tin Roof Sundae. It’s decorated beautifully and has all the amenities you could possibly need. We fished, tried a great local golf course out, ate lots of BBQ and enjoyed relaxing on the back porch. The host was very communicative, friendly and responsive. Well worth it!

Short get away
The house was very comfortable and had everything we needed to make meals while we were there. Our daughters LOVED swimming in the pond and spend most of their time there. The beds were very comfortable. We had bad storms with hail and high winds two nights while were there and Livia was wonderful to let us put our van in their machine shed to keep it safe from hail damage. She was quick to respond to any messages I sent while we were there. We loved the weekend at the property so much that we booked Labor Day weekend before we even checked out!

Friendsgiving
Spent the weekrnd with friends, quality time, catching up. The cabin was perfect for our needs. Cooking, watching movies and being able to be in the shared space was wonderful. The views off the deck are beautiful and all of the birds that came by and hung out in the tree outside the dining room window were entertaining to watch. We plan on returning with our hiking group once it's warmer again.

AMAZING GETAWAY
This home is absolutely perfect. My fiancé and I spent a week in the home while on a hunting vacation! It was clean, cute, had all the cooking tools you need, and the host was phenomenal. We will be back!

Peaceful, Beautiful Property
This property is absolutely beautiful! Our family enjoyed the pond for hours each day. Some of our favorites were; walking down to the creek and walking in the cool water...looking for treasures, spending time on the back deck (which has plenty of seating for meals as well), listening to all the birds and wildlife at night. We saw beautiful birds, a fox, coyote, and deer. Check in and out were a breeze. The whole cabin is magnificent on the inside! The bunk room and master bathroom were our favorite! Thanks for sharing your beautiful space!

Perfect
My husband, myself and our dogs stayed here for a short getaway for our anniversary and birthdays. It was the perfect spot to get away from it all, relax, and let the dogs have space to enjoy themselves too. The owners were great, they had a bottle of wine on the island and fresh flowers on the table when we arrived. We were extremely happy with everything. Perfect location, great views, privacy, and trails to walk the dogs. Loved our time there.

Awesome cabin in north Missouri
Our family spends a lot of time at cabins all over the state and this is one of the best we've visited. Love the property, the beautiful views from the windows, the access to hiking and trails and the wonderful master suite! It's a great place to relax and unwind with the family!

Amazing Stay
The Tin Roof Sundae Cabine really is a Missouri sweet spot! My family vacationed here in early January and really enjoyed our stay. The views were phenomenal from every window, especially the back patio overlooking the frost covered trees and lake. The seven bed bunk room was perfect for boards games and movie nights with the kids. We would definitely recommend to future guests!

Perfect Place To Unwind
My husband and I needed a place to unwind from work and other responsibilities. We were totally exhausted physically, mentally, and emotionally when we arrived at the Tin Roof Sundae Cabin. This cabin was everything it was advertised to be, and more. It was quiet and peaceful with the birds chirping and frogs croaking. The prairie grass, trees, and ponds made the outside charming, while the rustic yet modern decorations and furniture made the inside of the cabin homey. My favorite place to hang was on the back deck in the porch swing, with the fans spinning and the rope lights glowing. Our dogs had plenty of room to run, although you need to make sure you are up to date with the tick medicine!! It is also one of the best stocked cabins we've ever stayed at. We loved this place and would highly recommend it to everyone else!! We feel refreshed and are ready to rejoin society!!

We loved everything about this place! The location and decor was gorgeous! The photos didn’t do it justice. We went when there was leftover snow and the cabin was just picturesque. Winter Wonderland
My family and I stayed for a couple days at TinRoofSundae January 3-5, 2021. We were celebrating a late Christmas with family that lives in Marceline. The landscape was blanketed in sparkling snow that lent itself to impromptu snowball fights and a meticulously contructed snowman. My young nephews from Marceline LOVED the bunkroom and were so excited to visit us in the cabin. We had everything that we needed and were very comfortable.

Exactly what we were looking for!
We really loved this property. The cabin was spacious and very well appointed. All of the interior decoration and wordwork were adorable. We came for the hiking trails and privacy and we were not disappointed. There were multiple trails leading all directions from the house. The trails go through prairie, forest, wetlands with lots of hills. The owner, Livia, was available and responsive by text for any questions I had. We are hoping to come back again in the summer!

Girls from another state!
Need to feed your cats, one gal almost tripped, they were constantly at the door. We always clean up after ourselves, so many instructions, washing the sheets, ?? supposed to be a vacation, the cleaner shouldn't have much to do. Do not suggest a stay, unless you want to clean house.

Dear Judy, I'm so sorry our accommodations were not satisfactory. I'm sure you must have been also disappointed about not being able to find a good time to reschedule your trip. I would like to address your concerns regarding our check-out procedure. I'm not sure if you are aware, but it is a fairly standard practice for many short-term vacation rentals to request that guests gather linens/towels and start the wash, take out the trash, and start the dishwasher. These requests are in place to help make sure that we can offer a reasonable check in/out time, while at the same time keeping the cleaning fee at a minimum for our guests. Depending on the number of guests, it can take our housekeeper anywhere from 3-6 hours to clean, especially with the additional cleaning due to COVID. It is not unusual for our $50 dollar cleaning fee to not cover the actual cleaning cost. In regard to the cats, they are fed regularly in between guest visits. I'm afraid guest interaction has made them overly-friendly. I would welcome any suggestions on how to keep them off the porch. Again, I'm sorry the check-out requests ruined your visit, we try very hard to offer a clean and relaxing stay. I do hope you enjoyed some quality time with your friends during the beautiful weekend. Great Stay!
We really enjoyed our weekend away in Marceline! The house was beautiful and very accommodating! The owner was easy to work with and welcoming! We loved the pond and caught many fish! The deck and porch were great for enjoying all the wildlife that surround the house. Marceline is a cute little town we enjoyed exploring while we visited. The only downside is not having great cellphone/wifi reception, but also kind of nice to be "off the grid" for a few days!

Great place for several families
My boys said I should give this place 5 and 1/2 stars. They really enjoyed sharing the bunk room with their cousins. We will book here again the next time we are in the area. Hopefully the weather will be better and we can explore the property more. We had a large group (three families), and there was room for everyone. I would consider adding a night light or two. Then mom would also give it 5 and 1/2 stars.

Excellent cabin getaway on a beautiful property. Very relaxing
We booked this cabin for an anniversary retreat. It was just what we needed, a quiet place to get away from the busy life and relax. The cabin is a beauty to look at in it's unique construction. Incredibly spacious with plenty of outdoor area for our dogs to run around. There is a forest preserve adjacent to the property but we did not venture there due to it being chilly and windy. We only stayed 3 nights and wished we'd booked a few more. Will be back when it's warmer out. Thanks for the great vacation at your rental.

Idyllic Missouri Getaway Spot
This home was perfect for a reunion of twelve of us to get together for the weekend. We played music, sat around the campfire, swam in the pond, and cooked out on the grill. The space was perfect for our large group and we felt we had plenty of room. Never had a rainy day, but the cabin was full of DVDs and games just in case! Great family get away.
We loved the cabin. It had everything we needed. Loved the large master bath. The only thing I would say is that the fishing didn’t even get nibbles. We tried every kind of bait out there. The owners were super accommodating and even offered another more established pond they had 3 miles away, however we opted to not take that route. We would absolutely stay here again. It rained several days and it was very peaceful. Loved the back porch and all the windows. We had a beautiful pair of red white and black woodpeckers that came daily, and a cute little squirrel we named Alvin. Wonderful cabin in the woods. I only gave 4 stars due to the fishing.....otherwise 5 Star all the way.

Bunk room is a kid’s dream
The kids loved the bunk fort and the tree house with the zip line. The house is beautiful with wonderful detail and design. Fantastic cooking kitchen. Only bummer is that we couldn’t catch a fish to save our soul in the nearby pond.
