I love l staying at the El Cortez Cabana Suites. So vintage and gives the Old Vegas feel. Always a pleasant stay Super quiet being in the Fremont area…I always enjoy my stay.

I liked this property it was kept up very well. But when we asked for some extra pillows we were told only one more pillow was all we could have. The bed when made looked very nice but three flat pillows on a king sized bed and two people isn’t really fair

What I did not like about this property is that I had a family member get involved in a serious car accident which caused me to miss my flight from Ohio to Las Vegas and the property refused to let me cancel or reschedule my reservation without charging me a penalty fee what kind of heartless non-caring company still charges you a full nice day plus a penalty fee for missing a flight because of a family member ending up in the hospital from a car accident

The room was gross and smelled like cigars and weed. There was a cockroach in the sink. We got charged $250 fine for smoking even though we don’t smoke. CAUTiON stay away!!!

Street construction, closed streets etc.. not a hotel issue. Staff is great, room was fine.. some repair work inside the casino.. polishing floors, roped off areas.. coffee cart closed one day. Still like the property. Future expansion /construction might be a temporary deterrent.

This was my second time at El Cortez. The first I had a remodeled room on the other side. It was a good stay overall. Based on that, I came back. This time we stayed on the 5th floor in the back. The rooms were very outdated but clean. The main issue was the rooftop bar next door was very loud till 4 am. I'm positive its breaking ordinances for sound. It was pretty loud with sirens, the dj talking and music. Unfortunately I would not stay again or recommend staying there. Its a shame really. It is a great casino.

My sister and I had a great time however we ate a couple times at the restaurant seigles we had one waiter for breakfast very argumentative I ask for my syrup to be warm and he brought me out another thing of cold syrup then asked me what was the problem I told he gave me cold syrup what to you want me to do warm it up in the microwave!!!! You know he didn’t get a tip !!!! The the host name zana was very rude to a customer the lady simply ordered food and then asked what kind of desserts you have and the lady said why don’t you ask me that when you was ordering the food the lady was so taken back and you could tell her feelings was hurt, so I got a hold of the manager. The manager said that the host was overwhelmed still no excuse, nobody when you’re in that type of business hospitality business you have to put on a great face every day and not be rude. Other than that was very good. I love the hotel will definitely stay at the hotel again but as far as eating at that restaurant again, probably not .

When I visit Vegas, I usually stay at the El Cortez. Now, I'm not one to write crazy reviews, but over the last year or so, Hotel quality and the condition of the Tower rooms has spiraled downward. The weekend I was staying there, the wind was blowing at 28mph with gusts up to 40mph. The first night, temperature in my room was 59*. I called front desk and was told they would send someone up. Second night, still no heat. Another call to front desk with same response. My third night was a repeat of the first two. Bathroom sink would not drain. You know how nasty that is when your brushing your teeth and shaving? It's gross. On my way out the valet brought my car around and I noticed the passenger side mirror was folded in. I pulled out of the El Cortez and stopped at the light to push it out. When I did, the entire back housing of the mirror crashed to the street. So here I am on Las Vegas Blvd and 6th trying not to get clipped, while getting the housing to my car off of 6th street. When I stayed here in March 2024, the shower backed up and flooded the bathroom. Also, on this trip, there was an incident at the craps table. It went way beyond social trash talking, to the point I colored up and went to another casino. Very bad vibe. The Pit Boss handled the incident horribly. Never Again El Cortez I hope this review helps one person from having a crappy vacation.

21 and over was an exceptional treat, what really sold me on the property. Airport shuttle is only available for return flights though and a cab is roughly $50 not sure why airport transportation is not available for pick-up. Love the distance to Freemont Street and after visiting the Luxor for a show, if we plan to visit again downtown is the place to be and the El Cortez will get our reservation. Food is ok, we had the best Pizza just off Freemont and Beer was only $8 depending on what you ordered not $14 for 1...but if that's the price to pay for an adult inclusive stay ~ I'll pay it in a heartbeat. The slots treated us well and the customer service from check in to meeting our room attendant to check out all 0 felt like family...room key is a wristband which is a bit awkward and was hard to get the elevator to accept but the security with that feature is spot on. Thank you, looking forward to seeing you all again

The hotel and staff were very nice! The food in the hotel restaurant was wonderful. This would be at least 4.5 stars in my book except the neighborhood has gone down in recent years but the hotel has good security and if you want a lovely hotel and dining(in house) experience stay at the El Cortez! I do not know about the dining in the area as when not at the hotel I ate elsewhere. All-in-all one of the best hotels in my life and I am 70 years old and done a fair amount of travel.
