Heaven!
This place was immaculate and beautiful. Walking distance to everything and such an awesome stay. The sunsets were amazing from the property. I can't tell you how many times I ran out and across the street to the Sea of Cortez just to put my feet in the water and people watch. Yes it was a little loud on Friday night but that's what made it fun and interesting. Who doesn't like a Bob Marley cover band coming from the beer garden behind you? It was like having your own private suite at a concert! I'm wishing I was there now. If I was, I'd walk down to one of the amazing ice cream shops. Thank you for everything. The place was spotless and there was plenty of water for us to drink. One thing you might want to update the book as some of the restaurants we tried to go to were not there anymore. 2 of them. But it gave us a chance to explore the town. I was worried about not having the security of the hotel but I will never stay in a hotel in La Paz again in my life. What a gem. Thanks!!

Lovely stay
Casa Mexicana is as described, it’s a beautiful and well kept house just steps off the Malecón. The pool is heated and a perfect size to take a leisurely dip in between activities. The malecon can be a bit noisy on the weekend, so if you are sensitive to noise you may want to bring earplugs, but weeknights were relatively quiet. We enjoyed our stay and I would absolutely book this property again.

The Gem of La Paz!
We love this home and have stayed here twice. It’s location and proximity to the best restaurants in La Paz! The pool was our favorite way to enjoy the hot afternoons. We watched every sunset from the rooftop! The beds are comfortable and the showers have great water pressure, but I love the murals and wall paintings most! Can’t wait to come back!

Best location in La Paz
First time visitors to La Paz. Casa Mexicana was a jem. Our group of 6 loved everything the house offered. Pool was a perfect size, and the roof top patio views were amazing.

Summer vacay

Spectacular Spot
Wonderful property, right in the middle of all the fun in La Paz. House is super clean and comfortable and communication before and during our stay was outstanding. The Malecon is the place to be. Traffic and noise are of course there, and it seems to get quiet around midnight. I was happy to use earplugs in exchange for being able to walk out the door to enjoy La Paz, and not needi g to drive.

Exceptional property and location!
This is THE place to stay... steps from the malecón, easy access to restaurants, plenty of space to spread out and an amazing pool/garden as well as rooftop space. You can spend your entire vacation outside and move between sun, shade and the oceanfront. There's also a small grocery store one block away, taco and seafood stands and OXXO right across the street. With 3 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms, theres more than enough space for a large family or group of friends. Would definitely stay here again!

What an amazing home away from home!
My sister and I travel to Mexico every chance we get, but in the past we’ve typically stayed at hotels or resorts, so we were a tiny bit nervous about being on our own in a house for the first time. We needn’t have worried, because not only did we have everything we needed, we also had a great host who responded within minutes to our every inquiry. Ana was so kind and patient, even setting us up with in-home massages - who needs a resort? 😁 The home itself is in an ideal location to visit everything on the malecón, if that’s your destination don’t even worry about a car. But if you do have one, there’s a terrific, secure parking area. The binder with restaurant and beach suggestions was such a great guide and we made use of it every day. Honestly there isn’t one suggestion I could make for an improvement. Our stay was perfect. Hope to visit again. Muchas gracias.

Uncontrollable by owner. but the owner should have warned of the excessive carnavale noise due to homes location. We relocated to a B&B to escape the noise which persisted to wee hours. Also owner should have repaired hot water problem, which they were of, before our arrival. Other then the above critical issues the home is in an excellent location with excellent amenities.

Beautiful home, clean and spacious
We had a wonderful time, the home was clean and spacious. The pool was wonderful, we heated it daily and floated on pool noodles, so very relaxing! The beds were very comfortable, I slept well although my companions did say the noise from the nieghbourhood did disrupt their sleep. The location is great! Thursday - Sunday is quite busy!

Great home away from home
This property is the total package! Great layout for the entire group. We appreciated the bottled water and the laundry soap, no need to run to store right away. Water was hot, location was perfect! We will be back and definitely recommend to our friends! Thank you for everything!

Excellent spot for dining out
If you’re big on restaurants there’s more within a short walk than you’ll be able to try in a week. The primary beaches are a very easy drive up the coast. It was pretty hot in town during the second half of September so beaches were the place to be. The host was very responsive through the VRBO app about a minor issue. House was clean and mattress and sheets were very comfortable (we only used the master). Because of the heat in town, we used the pool almost every day, and we were glad to have it. No issues with that either.

Amazing home in an amazing town
We absolutely loved our time in La Paz and this house made it perfect. The property is very clean, very comfortable, and just beautiful. Beautiful home right off the Malecon
This is a impeccable lovely home right off the Malecon. So many bars/restaurants within walking distance, a picturesque rooftop deck, and relaxing private pool area. Being so close to the action, we did need ear plugs for sleeping, but this is a common necessity that should not deter from this fantastic location. We also appreciated the free parking, laundry, and mini-splits in every room.

Best location, beautiful home with gorgeous heated pool!
Communication with host was perfect. Little issues that arose were dealt with immediately! Home was clean, had basic kitchen supplies, pool towels. We really enjoyed the rooftop deck for sunrises and sunsets. Perfect location for walking the Malecon and city. Many restaurants close by and a mini mart right across the street for basic needs. We were lucky in that the homes on either side were unoccupied so the rooftop deck was very private. Would definitely stay here again!

Wonderful family vacation in a beautiful home!
This was our first trip to La Paz. My husband, 3 daughters (11,12 & 15), and I truly enjoyed our stay in this beautiful home! So much so, that we have already booked it again for next year! It is just as beautiful as it looks in the photos! It was so clean and beautifully decorated. Nice linens and comfortable beds. We loved the rooftop terrace with great views and spent every evening up there. The pool was a nice relaxing spot to cool off. The secure, off street parking at the house was great as we had a rental car. The location is perfect. A block from the beautiful Malecón. A short walk to many great restaurants as well as a little market a couple of blocks away. The welcome book that is provided is full of information for the house, beaches, restaurants, markets, pharmacies, tours, and special services. Such a great resource that we used quite often. Ana was very responsive via the VRBO chat as well as What's App. Any questions you may have or any issues are addressed right away. We have nothing but positive things to say about this wonderful home! We can't wait to come back!! Thank you Ana and Monica!

Absolutely wonderful
Our group of 6 ranging from age 8 to nearly 80 immensely enjoyed our week long stay at Casa Mexicana. The location is hard to beat, the home is so comfortable and bright. Everything felt so well thought out and quality. Comfortable beds with quality linens. We truly didn’t want to leave. Property manager was excellent with communication and prompt responses. Very in depth welcome book(s) for guests - in both Spanish and English- with tons of information & tips for restaurants, beaches, sightseeing and more. So many thoughtful touches. I really cant think of anything negative in this home, but a couple potential minor improvements might be Down below the front steps in front of the lower bedroom window is a utility cover with an X cut into it for ventilation im assuming. If someone steps on that it could lead to injury, i was a bit paranoid of it and set our step stool up over it so the kids wouldn’t step on it. a mini fridge on the ground floor, either by the BBQ or in the carport or laundry area would be a great addition so guests could keep cold drinks below for easy access, especially since the kitchen fridge is on the smaller side. An outdoor shower/hose station to rinse off from the beach would be a worthwhile addition. A couple pots in the kitchen would have been welcome. There were some good sized skillets but awkward for cooking some foods All in all I 100% recommend casa Mexicana, and likely any property managed by the same owner. Wonderful experience and we definitely hope to return!

Amazing house in La Paz
I can’t begin on how to explain how absolutely perfect our stay was! House is unbelievably beautiful. Perfect location to shopping and eating. Beds were extremely comfortable! Pool was a great plus! Loved watching the beautiful sunsets from the roof top. Anna’s communication went way above and beyond! The detailed book in the living room was extremely helpful! Excellent Location and Great Casa to Rent
This house lives up to the photos you see in VBRO unlike other vacation homes I've rented in the past. It's just a block away from the main shopping and restaurants. The pool is fabulous. If you have a problem it will be resolved by management in an efficient manner. I along with my guests enjoyed the stay at this house and have nothing to complain about. Great home for a family vacation.

Just a beautiful home in a great location. Top to bottom the house was really clean and taken care of. A/C throughout the home made it very comfortable but it still didn’t top the pool out back. So many good restaurants really close by, just highly recommended overall!

Perefect Location
The house was perfect!! It was my husband and I and our 17 and 18 yr old kids who each brought a friend, 6 of us in total. The location is perfect with the OXXO across the street and the market 2 blocks away. The house is set up good. Would have loved to have a bit more seating for movies at night and the bed downstairs is not comfortable and definitely not made for 2 adults. My husband and I thought we were being smart and having our own space down stairs away from the kids......hindsight I would have taken the comfy bed in the master bedroom upstairs. But regardless of the uncomfortable bed we still had a blast and would stay there agaian......I would just put someone else downstairs next time. LOL

Paradise in La Paz
This place is great! Our group was made up of 3 couples and we had plenty of space to spread out and relax. The bedrooms are cozy with very comfortable beds. We loved the open concept kitchen, dining and living rooms and watching movies on the big screen TV. The location is perfect, one block from the beach and two blocks from a supermarket, restaurants, and the “1240” coffee shop! We enjoyed the private pool and barbecuing on the back patio. The upper deck has incredible views of the sunset and the Sea of Cortez. We had a rental car so being able to park off the street was very secure. The house is very clean and is in a safe and centrally located neighborhood. We can’t wait to come back!

Well located and comfortable
Our group of friends thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Casa Mexicana. The location is perfect for accessing the malecón and some of the best restaurants in La Paz. The beds were very comfortable and we appreciated having the option of AC, though it was not at all necessary in early March. We made use of the binder for visitors, which includes great restaurant and bar recommendations. The only challenge was refilling the water cooler, which OXXO made a bit more complicated than described in the visitor guide. But that was a minor hiccup in an otherwise lovely stay.

Beautiful home on the Malecon
This is one of the most beautiful and comfortable homes in La Paz. We walked the half block to the Malecon almost every night and so enjoyed our strolls along the ocean. The house is beautifully decorated in Mexican handicrafts. The bedrooms are spacious and all three have private bathrooms. We stayed here for two months and loved every minute. Our house manager, Ana Carolina Salmon, was always very prompt in answering our questions and was invaluable to us in helping get to know the city. We highly recommend El Cirio homes.

Great location just off the malecón
We rented this casa for 4 days in mid-December. You really couldn't beat the location, and we had a great view from the rooftop patio of the malecón. The master bathroom could use a door for privacy, as well as the bath off the downstairs 3rd bedroom. Everything functioned and was as pictured in the listing. We had great no problem checking in and had easy contact with Ana. I would recommend this place.

Lovely home in a great location!
We enjoyed this property--the house was in a perfect location, close to the malecon and great restaurants. The rooftop deck had a great view of the Sea of Cortez. We had power issues while we were there, and the property manager was very responsive and reasonable about issuing us a partial credit for the inconvenience. It appeared that the electrical issue was fixed during our stay, however I would make sure to confirm this before booking. We would definitely stay here again.

A piece of paradise in La Paz
Casa Mexicana was absolutely beautiful, almost better than what was advertised. Clean, bright, cheery, and just an overall happy place to stay. The pool was wonderful and the view from the top was amazing. And the extra touches such as some laudry detergent, coffee, shampoo and conditioner in the showers just made this the perfect place to stay in La Paz. Cant wait to go back:) Thank you so much Ana!!

Perfect after electrical problem fixed
The house was perfect for a weeklong stay by my husband, our two grandsons (ages 7 & 9) and me. Right off the Malecón and a very short walk to restaurants and a market, the location is ideal. The house is attractive and large and the pool is wonderful. Unfortunately, during our stay, there was an issue with the electricity in the house which required city involvement to fix. The managers of the house were immediately responsive to our calls on this problem. Please verify that the electricity issue has been fixed and then choose this property -- you'll love it!

Ultra clean and secure
We have been coming to La Paz nearly every year, for 14 years now. This is definitely one of the best vacation properties offered in La Paz. And La Paz in one of the best vacation areas in Baja! This place has it all ! The view, the area of town, the proximity to the malecon, the private heated pool and patio, spacious well decorated home, well equipped kitchen, very comfortable beds and living spaces, awesome sunny porches with fantastic views, laundry facilities, and secure on site parking, and did I mention the VIEW? Also a well stocked, traditional neighborhood market just 1 block away. Only thing we ever wanted for ...was an ice chest for taking to the beach. Overall, loved every minute of our 10 day stay.

Clean and comfortable
Our house just above the Malecon was all we could want. The rooms were decorated beautifully. The chairs were comfortable as were our beds. The house was kept clean for the month that we stayed there. Walking along the Malecon brought many different views and experiences. Tours with “Onboard Baja” were very well handled with lots of individual attention. We were very comfortable swimming with the whale/sharks and California Sea Lions. The guides all spoke English, French or Spanish so were able to include everyone in their descriptions of activities. The waters and beaches at Balandra and Tecolote are exceptional. We went by the city bus at a cost of 100 Pesos return, for a 45 min. Trip to and from. The Nim Restaurant on Miquel Hildalgo and Revolution is excellent.

Perfect house for our first trip to La Paz
We could not have chosen a better property for our first trip to La Paz! The location of Casa Hidalgo is 1/2 block from the Malecon, walking distance to fantastic restaurants, a grocery store is 2 blocks away, mini mart across the street, taxis 1/2 block away, I could go on and on. We were able to walk to the marina to take our snorkeling boat tour, and another day caught a taxi right outside to take a day trip to Tecolote Beach. And the house was just wonderful! The pool was amazing for our family with 3 kids. The temperature of the pool was perfect for us, and was such a relief from the heat outside. Speaking of outside heat, the air conditioning in the house was wonderful, worked very well. The house was wonderfully decorated, the pool area beautiful! And Ana was a great help and responds very quickly if you have questions or needs. We missed Casa Hidalgo when we left (especially the pool!), and will definitely rent it again when we return to La Paz!
