I stayed for one night when I was in Dusseldorf for a concert. The hotel is an excellent pick - it is located right by a tram (U-bahn?) stop from which you can go directly to the HbF as well as the Mitsubishi hall. My room was very clean - perfect for one person. The curtain in the window did have a hole in it, but it honestly made no difference to me. The staff was very nice and helpful.

The 'Collectors' Hotel
I will start with the positive, the man in reception was a lovely guy with a sense of humour, and the parking is free (As long as you are lucky and no one else is there - I saw 3 spaces for the hotel and its first come first served) The other reviews mention things like 'Its stuck in the 70's' etc... well they arent wrong! Even down to a built in retro radio on the headboard! But it was the cleanliness and comfort that really let us down. Beds are really uncomfortable, there was a bogey collection someone has started on the wall above the headboard, shower curtain was brown and mouldy, curtains stained and full of holes.. I opened the wardrobe and was greeted by someones old socks that were still in there waiting for their owner to come back. There was no bin in the room - only a tiny one hidden in bathroom. In addition on the curtain subject, they didnt completely cover the windows so as soon as the sun rose the room is fully lit. In the end we left at 05.30am just because we couldnt stand it anymore, and seemingly we werent alone in the dawn escape, dodging the Jumble sale of old mattresses, hoovers and bed frames etc left in the corridor like an episode of 'Total Wipeout' with other guests. Very dissapointed especially for the price. Terrible nights sleep. We didnt stay for breakfast as the property isnt doing them currently either. Such a shame our trip came to an end in that way but lesson learned.

Very good value for money. Free parking in a garage and friendly staff. Rooms are clean and quiet. The gentleman at the reception is helpful and friendly. The hotel is situated with a convenient communication to the centre of town.

Terrible hotel with poor service attitude
This place is run like a hotel where you can book a room by hour. During trade fairs they charge extortionate prices, but so do all hotels in Düsseldorf. Rooms are simple and clean, but as walls are very thin you can hear when someone snores or makes some other noises in the room next door. The attitude of the reception staff is at best ignorant and at worst hostile. I stayed there only a few nights and one evening I asked the lady at the reception if I could have some hot water to take with me to the room. I asked her if they have a thermos flask, which would keep the water hot. Her answer was: “No, do you have one?” Erm, I am the hotel guest here, aren’t I? I then said that some hotels give a thermos flask or a water kettle to take to the room. Her reply: “We are not that kind of hotel.” Well, obviously not! No hotel regardless of what standard or number of stars they have should have a person working in a customer-facing role who is clearly unsuitable to work in the service industry. The minimum any receptionist should do as part of her/his job is to make guests feel welcome and valued. This hotel is only interested in taking people’s money and even charge 8 EUR for breakfast, but they are not able to offer decent rooms and friendly service in return. All positive review must have been submitted as a joke. There are much better hotels for the same price, so take your money elsewhere.

Dear Sir, we are really sorry that your stay with us was such a bad expierence. We will that your experience with one staff member refelcted your eintire experience. Unfortunately, you decided to give comments without letting us know, who you are and when you stayed with us. Anyway, we talked to the receptionist about your comments. We do not want to excuse ourselves for what happend, but hope that you may accept our apologies. We learned from what you critized and have bought a number of water cookers which can be borrowed from the front desk and hopefully provide you and other guests with boiling hot water in their room. Again, please accept our apologies. The positive reviews are neither jokes nor fake, but the true experience of our guests..

Nice hotel close to transportation shopping food
Experience was good, stayed for seven nights, convenient close to transportation, shopping restaurant and other amenities. Staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast was OK to good not great, it was kid of monotonous the Continental breakfast every morning. Got in late some night and out early next morning, went for strolls around the neighborhood no problem

Very good stay
The hotel is ideally situated further out of the city centre with convenient tram connections into the centre. The room was clean and pleasant with wifi and most importantly very friendly and helpful staff. There are several places within a 5 minute walk to find something to eat from pizza to bars offering great schnitzels and fries and German beers! Great value for the quality and would definitely stay there again.

Although it is located about 8 km from the Hauptbahnhof, It is right by a U-Bahn station, so it was rather convenient. The shower head should be changed. Over all, it is also well-priced for what it is.

Not a bad hotel. The room and the twin bed was extremely small but it had everything I need for one night. Clean sheet, clean bathroom and hot water. The host was very helpful with direction and she spoke english. Overall will I stay there again yes.

Not bad, clean and simple.
I had a business trip to the Henkel Holthausen. This hotel is very basic, but clean and close by. Not much good food nearby, so plan a trip to the city for dinner. It did the job, and I might stay there again.

An excellent Budget Priced Hotel with nice sized rooms and good facilities. Breakfast was plentiful and fresh. Staff were very helpful and the free secure parking is a real bonus. I will certainly stay here again when in the area.

Fantastic Hotel with the best service and staff
This hotel was awesome and cheap to stay at. The staff were fantastic and so helpful and friendly. The buffet breakfast was incredible and we were only a 15min U-Barn trip to Dusseldorf CBD. We will definitely be back!!! Thankyou :-)

Very practical
Hotel is very good value and well located for the public transport at Holthausen junction, easy to get the U74 or U77 into the downtown. Single rooms are small but very clean and comfortable. staff very friendly. Looks to have been renovated recently, new carpets and bathroom upgrades

Close to almost everything
I stayed in the Hotel for 9 nights. Although my room was small but the neighbourhood, you can find almost everything in walking distance. the most important point is the train station which is infront of the hotel and you will reach city centre in 20 minutes.

good value hotel
Hotel is clean, rooms are on the small side but comfortable and adequate for a short stay. Price is cheap, so the hotel is good value overall. It has free internet and wi-fi. It has a restaurant, but we didn't eat there, so can't comment on the quality. Location is 50 metres from the Holthausen stop on the U74/U77 underground lines, so access to the city centre or airport is fast and cheap - e.g. city centre, 15 mins, airport 40-50 mins door to door. Local amenities limited - area is mainly residential, but, as mentioned, the city centre is easy to access.

Leider nicht sehr sauber, im Bett ist ein altes Radio verbaut mit einer tickenden Uhr, Duschgel in der Dusche war leer, nicht mal ein Glas o.Ä auf dem Zimmer. Habe extra etwas mehr bezahlt für ein Doppelbett, das Doppelbett ist aber einfach nur zwei Einzelbetten aneinander geschoben und ein Doppellaken drauf. Die Lage ist gut und das WLAN funktioniert. Ich musste beim Ankommen 6 Euro zahlen, leider habe ich in dem Moment nicht nochmal nachgefragt wieso.
