5 of us girls stayed at OttoMood and our room had 3 single beds and one queen bed. It was perfect. There was a closet to store our belongings and the staff were great to make sure we had fresh towels or we could help our selves. The morning breakfast was simple yet all we needed to start the day. The cappuccinos were good too. The staff were helpful and friendly. Wifi was intermittent, but overall good. Bottle opener in room. Access to a shared kitchen. We left our wine bottles in there over the course of the week and they were never taken. Kettle in room. Cute balcony. High ceilings. Secure building and safe area of Catania right in the center town. Tons of places to eat and within walking distance to the Fish market, beaches, sightseeing. Slightly noisy at night if you sleep with balcony door open but quiet when closed. Great value!

Great location and the staff was amazing. Breakfast was great just with the right food options. Room was very clean and the balcony was beautiful. Surprisingly quiet building considering that is located in a very busy street. The keypad control access make the hotel very safe.

The property had plumbing issues like crazy! No ac worked, the bathroom showers flooded the entire bedroom and bathroom. Guest services were never Available. Also the area surrounding the building was extremely dirty. Stays away!

Great comfortable hotel in convenient location. Perfect for a few nights if in Catania. Lots to do in the area and plenty of decent restaurants and shops all within 10 minutes walk. Rooms that front the main road may be a bit noisy for some lighter sleepers, so recommend ear plugs. Beautiful selection of fresh pastries, continental breakfast items and coffee served up by the owners themselves every morning. Owners are extremely friendly and helpful also. Would definitely stay here again.

Great place as it is very accessible, we liked everything about it including proximity to transportation and restaurants. There is also a park nearby. What we were not impressed about was the continental breakfast which lacked fruit even! Ribi, was amazing and it is a whole new concept of running a service

dear guest, our check in as written closes at 20.00. after this time we offer the possibility of self check in the day of your arrival I sent you mqail, messages, I tried in every way to contact you to know your arrival time without having any answer. you arrived after 1am making a lot of noise and rudely disturbing all the other guests. after midnight without any notice, the no-show policy applies. when traveling I advise you to inform yourself well about the rules of good manners

The room had a balcony that gave us that perfect Italy feel. Close to great restaurants (the awesome receptionist helped us with that). We had a very comfortable night before a long flight back home. Family of four (two adults, two kids).

Great stay at Excellent Boutique type B&B.
Great bedrooms with good quality fittings. Very clean and rooms thoroughly cleaned daily. Breakfast was also excellent with wide range of freshly baked rolls, croissants, and cakes together with savoury items. Good location near Bellini Park and 2min walk to Shuttle Bus stop to Airport. Can't recommend this place highly enough. Only downside is reception is not manned throughout the day. Make sure you make prior arrangements for self check-in if you need to drop off bags before 3pm check-in.

Great location, plenty of restaurants. B&B quite unique, 2 separate rooms in the same unit. Very modern on the inside. Staff very friendly and they contacted us prior to arrival to ask for our ETA. Location is steps from Via Etnea We would book again.

Really appreciated the level of service at this hotel and the room was large and very comfortable and quiet. Breakfast had warm pastries every day. Parking was offsite but only a 3 minute walk and easy to get in and out of every day. Will stay here again whenever visiting Catania.

We really liked our stay in this place. Everything went as it was planned and agreed. The staff was very helpful, the room was spacious, there was a heating system functioning (in October) and it was centrally located.

Difficulty checking in at 3.30pm as advised on Expedia paperwork. Was told it was 4pm so we had a wait. However checkin lady was lovely . The rooms were compact and fine for a short stay. There was no soap offered however (but shampoo was ) and the safe (only in some rooms) were so high in the cupboard that a chair would be needed to utilise them. Lastly - English subtitles , if they can be arranged on the TV - would be a huge bonus as every channel on TV is in Italian. At least for some of the programmes. All in all a very reasonable stay at a property in a fairly good location.

The staff at OttoMood Ala Ovest Catania Centro were extremely helpful and friendly. The breakfast was awesome! The room was spacious, clean and the bed was so comfortable. The location is perfect. We greatly enjoyed our stay as we concluded our Honeymoon in Catania. We highly recommend OttoMood Ala Ovest.

Lovey Stay
The air con was good to have, takes a while to cool the room so I would recommend leaving it on when you go out, (not very environmentally friendly I know!). The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, we were able to check in early as one of the staff was passing by and we could leave our bags in the hotel after we checked out until our train, also really useful. Breakfast was lovely, mostly sweet food, maybe could do with eggs or something. Location is good, only a ten minute walk from main tourist attractions. The room itself was very clean, big comfy bed (double) and the bathroom had everything - although as a girl some hair conditioner wouldn’t go amiss! The only thing that wasn’t very pleasant was when we woke in the morning there was a very fishy smell which I believe came from the bathroom, possibly a sewage issue which may be easily fixed?! Definitely recommend staying here, great value for money!

Hotel was comfortable. The location was convenient to get around Catania. It was in the city, so there was a lot of city noise and traffic. Only issue we had was the extensive mold in the shower. A little bleach would have gone a long way.

Ett litet hotell som inte har så många rum. Mycket trevlig personal, trevliga och rymliga rum och bra frukost. Ligger centralt i Catania. Det är trångt på gatorna kring hotellet så det kan vara problem med att parkera i närområdet.

Passé la déception d'être toute la famille dans la même chambre (quadruple) alors que j'avais choisi ce B&B pour la chambre DELUXE avec 2 chambres séparées, la gérante nous a expliqué que c'était une erreur sur le site expédia (toujours en ligne) car la DELUXE n'a qu'un canapé-lit en guise de 2 places; nous avons apprécié notre séjour. Le petit-déjeuner est correct (dommage que la pièce n'ait pas de fenêtre), l'emplacement est central et l'insonorisation suffisante pour couvrir les bruits de la rue. Nous avons garé la voiture dans les rues autour, en tournant un peu on trouve et c'est pas cher (utilisez l'appli easypark)

The Check-In and contact was uncomplicated. The staff was very friendly and supportive. They created a good atmosphere! The only thing, we missed a little bit of the typical fresh fruits from Sicily at breakfast. All in all, we can recommend the Otto Mood Ala Ovest!!
