Excellent stay. Shame only one night. Dinner at hotel was very good. 3 people, aperitifs, 3 courses and wine= 150 euros. Good size beds and rooms.

The proprietor Daniele is completely invested in the comfort and happiness of his clients. Our every request was facilitated with warmth and conscientious regard. His four years as an executive chef in London inspired wonderful creativity in his restaurant. He also made several helpful suggestions for our next travels. If you want to enjoy a small town escape, Hotel La Rocca is the place to stay.

PARKING: There was plenty of unrestricted free parking on the edge of town, once one found out where to look for it. It would have been useful for hotel staff to have had a simple map and directions to hand to new arrivals.

Lovely family hotel in attractive Brisighella.
We stayed here 3 years ago and since then the hotel has undergone a complete refurbishment. It is now much more modern inside and has been attractively and tastefully decorated and furnished, whilst still retaining the original facade and lovely terrace under the arches. The bathroom is beautifully fitted, with a superb rain shower, but a box of tissues and some complimentary shampoo and conditioner, as given in most hotels these days, would have made it more perfect!! The hotel is still owned by the same family, though, so still has that personal feel. We were disappointed, however, to be told on our arrival, which was a Monday, that the restaurant was closed on Mondays. One of the reasons we had booked to stay here again was because the food had been so good on our previous visit and we were hoping to enjoy another meal here. Unfortunately we were only staying one night so didn't get the chance to eat in the hotel restaurant. I don't know why this closure wasn't mentioned in the information section on Hotels.com's website- it just stated that there was a restaurant, but not that it was closed on Mondays. Anyway we had a delicious meal in the old town. La Rocca is well situated in the old part of Brisighella, and the surrounding area is beautiful, with lots of interesting walks, and 3 famous towers!

La Rocca " Bella"
Beautiful Brisighella. A genuine medieval town. La Rocca Hotel is a charming B & B. The host Daniel is wonderful and makes you feel welcome and like family. The rooms are comfortable and clean. The breakfast is a plus. The restaurant is superb and Daniel is an excellent chef. Homemade authenic italian cuisine. Was our best meal our entire vacation in Italy. There is plenty of parking. Train station is nearby. We will be going back and staying longer.

The staff were marvellous and the food very good. The rooms were satisfactory, but would benefit from a refresh in the bathroom.

Wonderful Cozy place in an idyllic setting
Arriving way ahead of check in time in a downpour with wet bicycles we were graciously greeted by the owner of this charming old hotel. He allowed us to have our room immediately and it was perched on the corner with two windows looking out at the old clock tower and the roofs of the town. This man made our stay so pleasant by his warmth and enthusiasm for his special town. He told us what to visit and lent us an umbrella and made us a delicious dinner. In spite of the horrendous weather we very much enjoyed our visit here.

A hotel for everyone
We loved our stay at La Rocca - the family who run the hotel were so friendly and welcoming. Excellent restaurant. Brisighella is a charming small town in the hillside near Ravenna. The views of the country from our bedroom window were spectacular. Very reasonable prices too. Couldn't recommend more highly.

Welcoming, family-run hotel and restaurant
We wanted to stay somewhere where we could easily get to Bologna airport in the morning. This friendly comfortable hotel in the very interesting town of Brisighella was ideal. Daniele and family are perfect hosts (and chef) and we were well looked after and enjoyed an excellent dinner. All the courses were very good especially the mixed antipasto, the local soup with pasta and the fillet steak. In the afternoon we took the fairly easy and very scenic walk up the road and steps to the Rocca, around the track to the clock tower and then down the stairway to town again. Longer walks are also possible and there is a guide in the town. The medieval "borgo" is worth visiting too.

La Rocca in Brisighella: charming
This hotel is definitely not for those travellers who expect glamour and high-end style; however, for those who are driving through northern Italy, close to Florence, and who are interested in an authentic experience in a tiny, old Italian village, then this is a good place to start. Small, unglamorous, but very clean rooms in a hotel run by a very friendly couple - with a strong family feel - La Rocca is for those who really do want to meet Italians, not other tourists, and who would be happy to wander through the quiet streets of Brisighella, or drive through the beautiful country-side, or listen to the fountain in the square below. Ask for the corner room on the third floor to have lovely views over the hills and fields and the roofs of the small town. Charming, genuine, warm and welcoming.

L'hotel e situato al centro del borgo ed è ottimo pecca solo di un parcheggio , il sabato e la domenica e impossibile arrivare nel hotel x scaricare le borse perché in una zona Zpl con varco sempre attivo il sabato e la domenica .

Buongiorno, grazie per la vostra recensione e per il vostro apprezzamento , informo che il parcheggio pubblico di fronte all' hotel e' gratuito ed altri si trovano nelle immediate vicinanze . L' hotel e' sempre raggiungibile anche nei week end quando attivo il segnale di ztl dalla strada secondaria che porta alla Rocca .Vi aspettiamo per accogliervi nuovamente a Brisighella Cordiali saluti

Fantastic stay
We had an absolutely beautiful, spacious corner room with huge windows, big bathroom with a window too and a lovely balcony with 2 chairs and a little table. Loved it! The restaurant and loggia had a lovely atmosphere and the dinner we had there was fantastic. Daniele fulfilled all our requests. We hope to return to this picturesque medieval town some day and would definitely stay in this charming hotel again.

Struttura pulita. All'arrivo (18.00) la stanza era gelida e fortunatamente si è scaldata per le ore 22.30 (dopo cena). Impossibile stare in stanza prima. Durante la notte il ventilatore del riscaldamento emette un rumore noiso e non è possibile arrestare tale ventilazione. La colazione è veramente minimale. Il personale è cortese.

Da rivedere la colazione
Ho trovato la stanza molto più piccola di quello che mi aspettassi, ma per una notte con un piccolo bagaglio non è stato un problema. Per il resto letto confortevole e bagno pulito. La colazione è stata una vera delusione. Capisco che per motivi legati al Covid non si possa allestire il buffet ma mi è stato portato un semplice caffè e un piattino striminzito di dolci nemmeno molto buoni. Non è più passato nessuno a chiedermi se volessi altro, nemmeno un succo di frutta o una spremuta d'arancia. Il ristorante dell'hotel è veramente molto buono. Stra consigliato.

Gentile Signore, grazie per la sua recensione, informo che la camera singola prenotata ha un letto ad una piazza e mezzo ,confortevole come lei ha riconosciuto, ma meno spaziosa della camera doppia proprio per questo motivo :abbiamo preferito la scelta della comodita' del letto . Mi dispiace moltissimo per la sua delusione nella colazione e mi sorprende in quanto ci preoccupiamo continuamente di servire il ripasso sia di preparazioni dolci o salate come anche bevande calde o succhi. Spero di potervi accogliere nuovamente e come tanti altri ospiti che ritornano ricordarci per la nostra generosita' nell'accoglienza .Cordiali saluti
