We wanted to see the tidal pools and didn't read one of the information signs near the top of the stairs to the beach, but park rangers were everywhere and none mentioned how incredibly difficult the stone beach was to navigate. And, the rocks between the pools required the right kind of shoes to be safe. Ours were OK but it still was a struggle and required good balance. So the pools we could safely reach had very little to see...maybe farther out it was better.

Lighthouse tours were closed. Not enough staff.

Great views. I was there at high tide. I bet the tide pools would be amazing at low tide.

Go at low tide to see the tide pools and the seals on the rocks. Call ahead for a tour of the lighthouse.
