"We had an excellent stay. This was a birthday present trip for our 80 year old mother. The view is amazing, we spent hours just enjoying the river and all the animals around and in it! A spectacular place to stay, I really want to visit again."

"Nice studio sized space perfect for the boss and I. Close enough to walk to the riverbank, and short jaunt up the road to the sis-in-law’s place. Nicely decorated and cozy. Patio area was perfect to sit, enjoy a couple of cold ones and relax after a day of galavanting through the wife’s old stomping grounds. 5 star space with 2 minor things: A new mirror in the bathroom would be nice and I would like to recommend adding pillows to the “bring your own linens” list. "The bears den was a nice quiet getaway for me and my wife to celebrate our anniversary. She chose this time of year because of the fall leaves and the Allegheny national Forest was full of awesome autumn sights. The property is a repurposed restaurant and each unit has a unique theme. We loved the decor and the privacy. The river is short walk from the front door. We would stay again for sure. "

"This was our second stay at this lovely house on the river. We had 6 adults plus our dogs, so we were thrilled to find a place to accommodate such a large group. Enjoyed the front porch overlooking the river, which was big enough for all of us to use at once, and made use of the back patio with grill. Many charming antiques throughout the house and a beautiful (and large) hand made dining room table. We brought several kayaks and really enjoyed the river. Lisa was the best - very quick to reply...

"Our stay with several family members ranging from young kids to seniors with walkers worked out great. The first floor bedroom and bathroom worked out great for the eldest and the rest of us had our own rooms and bathroom upstairs. Host was responsive and our stay was comfortable. Would recommend."
