Recomendable
El hotel está bien ubicado. Es algo viejo pero se nota que está bien mantenido. En recepción fueron muy amables y nos dieron varias recomendaciones durante nuestra estadía. Lo que no se aclara es que el servicio de estacionamiento es pago y no hay lugar donde dejarlo fuera del hotel.

Buen hotel un poco anticuado, las tumbonas son de pago a 14€ las sillas sin coste adicional y no es playa....Es piedra y hormigon sobre el mar...pero bueno en general.

We loved our stay in Santa Margherita, the hotel is super well located right next to the train station and next to the bay. Also the views and ameneties are quite unique with an underground heated salt water pool.

Problem solved.
We had a mosquito problem inside our room. Complained to the front desk and we were giving a upgrade and a perfect room. The lady at the front desk was excellent.

Four or five star hotels in Santa Margherita are expensive but the Metropole lives up to expectations. We had a quiet, well appointed room which was very clean and had a great modern bathroom. It was a garden suite. Hotel seems slightly old fashioned at first contact but bedrooms are good, the staff and service are excellent and it has a decent restaurant. We eat there both nights. It was great to have parking right outside as well. Nice indoor and outdoor pools and garden areas. Also a gym and spa as well. Good breakfast buffet with plenty of choice.

Amazing Staff, Beautiful Views
Hotel staff was amazing. Paid attention to every detail. The dining staff was the best. Again, paid attention to every little detail to ensure their patrons have the best experience. The views were spectacular.

Great location and facilities overall. Aircondition in our room didn’t function properly and the staff claimed 24 degrees in the room was normal. We got a room in the small villa connected to the hotel and might be the reason for the temperature. Not going back solidly because of the AC and the way the staff handled our complain.

After checking, the customer was shown that the air came out of the air conditioner at 13.3 celsius and room had 23.5 celsius degreesThey are perfect temperatures, of great comfort considering external temperatures of 29-30.

Convenient location but significant road noise
I made a mistake in booking for one pax instead of two and so the hotel wanted to charge me more. Plus breakfast for two pax was extra as well as a better sea view room. It ended up being 160€ per night, much more than what I booked. I did a quick check at Hotels.com for the same date and it was still cheaper than what they charged me. I consoled myself by having a sea view room. Still the view was only partial. The hotel is right next to the main road and so it gets noisy at night from the buses and bikes that come through. There is no aircon and so it can get stuffy and so their suggestion is to leave the balcony door open hence the road noise. The elevator is very small and so only two pax with large suitcases can fit. Front desk staff is helpful. Breakfast is decent and what I like is the fresh orange juicer station. All in all, location is near town and train station but given what I was charged extra, I would probably opt for Hotel Continental which was just next door, a bit further from the main road and with a full frontal view of sea.

Winter get-away!
We were traveling through town for a few days. We were surprised at how much we enjoyed staying at the Hotel Metropole. The best surprised was the gym and SPA. It was fantastic and so refreshing. Although the pool was closed for the winter, the spa more than made up for it and at no additional charge. The only thing I didn't appreciate was a per person cover charge for eating at the restaurant. That doesn't seem like a good way to encourage guest to dine-in.

Hatten sehr schönes Zimmer mit Meerblick. Wunderschöne gepflegte Anlage. Zentrale Lage, sehr zuvorkommendes Personal. Der Geist des alt ehrwürdigen Hotels wird noch gelebt. Grosszügiges Frühstücksbüffet.

Il Paradiso in Terra
Spettacolare. Non mi vengono le parole per descrivere la mia esperienza al Metropole se non una; la perfezione. Hotel favoloso, posteggio riservato, camera (la junior Suite) da mille e una notte, personale cordiale, ristorante e colazione fantastica. Il fiore all'occhiello della struttura è però la sua Spa, dotata di ogni tipo di comodità e di una vasca idromassaggio da sogno con grotta annessa per momenti di intimo relax e gestita da ragazze molto cordiali e gentili. Pulizia dell'hotel da oscar. Ritornando alla mia camera (la suite junior) direi che è stata senza alcun dubbio la più bella camera nella quale ho dormito; ampia, luminosa, tranquilla e con persiane che non fanno passare la minima luce mi ha regalato un riposo che non avevo da anni. Al suo interno ho trovato ogni tipo di confort (frigo bar, divano, bagno Deluxe e terrazzine con vista della spettacolare costa di Santa Margherita Ligure. A completare il tutto una bellissima piscina all'aperto (purtroppo inutilizzabile essendo a Febbraio) Il mio soggiorno all'hotel Metropole è stato sensazionale, lo consiglio a tutti per vivere un soggiorno di relax e tranquillità coccolati dalle calde acque dell'idromassaggio, in un'ambiente caldo, accogliente e di stupefacente qualità con attorno la bellezza della costa ligure. Complimenti a tutta la struttura, non dimenticherò facilmente il mio soggiorno. Grazie

5 Star Service Never Disappoints
Each time I stay in Santa Margherita Ligure I stay at Hotel Metropole and it never disappoints. It’s a gracious, restful property that offers superior service & a friendly staff. Located a few minutes down from the train station the property sits among lush landscaping and it own private seaside area. For my frazzled self, staying here in a room with a patio overlooking the gardens was a balm for my spirit. Reassuringly the hotel still strongly emphasizes cleanliness & observes Covid protocols. Food is top notch and prices were very reasonable for cocktails, snack & aperitivo. A special callout to Jun & Amedeo who were extra attentive to me at breakfast. I’m very much looking forward to returning in a few months.

Hotel metropole- Santa margherita 😕
Hotel was tired, but clean. Amenities were ok. Not sure it’s suited for solo travellers. Staff were mostly unfriendly. Asked for a quiet room, after looking annoyed, they put me in a room facing a v busy road, next to the housekeeping cupboard (on 1side) and lifts/stairs (on other) and under an active family I could hear clearly. I was told there was nothing they could do as the hotel was full- no apology, no effort to make it better. I would not stay there again.

was a very comfortable stay. I walked to the location and it is on a bit of an incline to get there and it was a bit misleading as far as where the entrance was. There we’re about 3 signs before you actually got to the hotel! Was very tiring. The hotel itself was really great. I got a single bed with a balcony on the top floor which is all I needed. The bathroom/shower is really outdated and that’s probably my only negative observation. Breakfast was included and you can even juice your own oranges for fresh juice. They have a separate pool / beach area that includes a chair. I would definitely recommend this hotel

Mycket bra service och närhet till vatten och resturanger. Mycket bra frukost med bra service. Hotellet är lite äldre med det påverkar inget då dess skick är perfekt.

Madame , Personne en 125 ans d'activité - nous avons commencé en juillet 1897 - ne s'est jamais permis d'utiliser le mot "volé" ! Nous avons un registre des objets oubliés, toujours rendus aux clients, qui contient des passeports et aussi de nombreux objets de valeur. Si l'article n'est pas enregistré, cela signifie simplement qu'il n'a pas été trouvé par notre personnel. Nous vous avons montré la chambre et vous avons aidé à votre retour environ 2,5 heures après votre départ de l'hôtel et vous avons expliqué qu'il était impossible que vous ayez laissé des lunettes dans la chambre !! Nous avons transmis votre accusation inexcusable à la Police – Foreign Office et à notre avocat pour ouvrir deux voies : tribunal pénal et civil ; ce que nous obtenons de votre peine sera entièrement reversé à la Croix-Rouge italienne Cordialement g.ciana Direct/Propr.
