The location was convenient; minutes (seconds) from walk of fame, restaurants and main attractions like the Chinese Theater and museums; there's a metro line that takes you to Universal City Walk, and lots of tour buses are in the proximity. The staff was really helpful too.
On the gray side, you can encountered homelessness or people smoking and drinking in the vecinity, so if you are traveling alone, I wouldn't recommend staying out and about too late at night; however most of the time people were minding their own business, so you just have to pass by and don't pay attention to them, even if they tried to talk to you.
