There was no entry to show that you complained about a problem or that you were unhappy. It made me wonder what went wrong as your review doesn't represent what so many others have written. We are disappointed that you didn't find something that you enjoyed, There are free kayaks, paddle boat, WIFI, parking, along with a beautiful heated or chilled pool, beach and a great pier to watch the sunsets from. The bedding and furniture is all new. I am perplexed but understand that something didn't meet your needs. We are very sorry that you felt that way and hope that you will look closely at our website to see if there is something that might meet your needs better. Again, thank you for staying with us. Alexander, Thank you for choosing Rock Reef. Sorry that we don't have fishing anymore. Some people don't know how to keep things clean and pick up their hooks, lines or clean fish scales up. They make a mess for someone else to clean up and ruin it for others who do not want to smell fish or on sit at dirty tables either late in the evening or early morning. Yosvany, Thanks for the review that you wrote for Rock Reef. There is lighting down at the pier under the Tiki and replacement lights are coming for the finger piers. We did allow fishing at one time. However, some fishermen were not being very courtious to our other guests who would just like to relax and watch the water. We want everyone to enjoy the pier area but we also want everyone to be mindful of others who are willing to share the space but not be engaged with the sport themselves. We have a lovely beach were people like swim. Now, it is becomes a safety issue for our swimmers.

Thanks Sonia for your review. We are sorry that we no longer allow fishing but some people can't clean up after themselves and the rest of our guest suffer. Line, hooks and scales all over the tables are nothing to wake up to. The actions of a few ruin it for many who know how to take care of their gear and other peoples property that try to provide a clean area for all. We do appreciate your .staying with us. First I would like to thank you for staying at Rock Reef for your time away to relax. Now I would like to address your comments. We all know how tough it has been to go thru Covid for such a long time. We also know that things have changed and what was the norm, is not anymore. With that being said, we are still dealing with Covid and the other strains that have now come along. We, as hotel owners, want to protect our guests, our staff and ourselves. Like everyone we have put into place a safe practice to help keep everyone as safe.as possible. Upon arrival, you are told and given a sheet of paper that explains our procedures. It tells you that in your room, there is a plastic bin which has directions in English and Spanish. It tells you to put all your dirty towels inside the bin and please put them outside your door along with your garbage so that staff can pick it up during the day. We will then bring it back to the laundry and empty it, disinfect the bin and replace whatever you placed into the bin. If you need further services, you must come to the office and request it. We will then take care of your needs, but will not come into your room while you are there. So as you travel during this time of uncertainty, please read any information the hotel gives you so you will know the procedures and then feel more comfortable and safe. Again thank you for your stay.

The pool fits or area and is protected by the buildings during the cold winter winds. The sun just beats in there and does help to heat the water. In our standard room, the bathrooms were small as everyone spent most of their time outside. We do have larger units with larger bathrooms so decide on the dates as early as possible and see if you can find one unit that is more to your liking. Bobby, Thank you for booking with us through Expedia and choosing the room of your choice. All pictures are up to date and does not show a television in the bedroom. This is the first complaint that we have had concerning the mattress so we will go over and check it out. The mattress is a well know name brand so unless you consider something that cost over 1200 a cheap foam mattress I respectably disagree with you. The couch is a futon and will be changed out as soon as we can update the unit. We hope you had a safe trip home.Have a wonderful day.
