Sucio, apestoso.
Sucio, viejo, camas incómodas, lleno de zancudos, mal olor impregnado en las camas, sábanas y cuartos. Los baños son lo peor, hasta después de que te lavas las manos sale mal olor del lavadero. El personal es atento, pero eso no cambia la apestosa y pésima situación del hotel. Me sentí engañada por el puntaje que tiene, pues no lo merecen para nada, no nos cambiamos de lugar porque ese día hubo lluvia fuerte y tormenta y estaba con mi mamá y mi abuelita que tenían miedo y no quisieron salir, estaban muy incómodas, no pudieron dormir por el mal estado de las camas y el mal olor, así que nos fuimos día siguiente a un hotel con casi el mismo puntaje y menos precio pero mil veces más limpio, cómodo y céntrico y nos quedamos 4 noches ahí. De verdad que este lugar no llega ni a 2 puntos, por el tipo de infraestructura.

Lamentamos mucho esta situación , personalmente nuestro staff estuvo totalmente atendiendo cualquier situación durante su estancia , nuestras instalaciones se caracterizan por el confort y limpieza. Durante las interacciones con su familia en ningún momento nos mencionaron esta situación en las habitaciones , sabes que su comentario es con la mejor intención , lo tomaremos para mejorar. No volvería nunca: sucio, mal olor, viejo.
El personal es amable; sin embargo, la infraestructura es pésima. Nos dieron la habitación 216 y 211, si mal no recuerdo, y las habitaciones tenían un mal olor cuando entrabas como una combinación de viejo, húmedo y olor de desague. Luego descubrí que parte del olor venía del baño, el inodoro estaba malogrado y no se jalaba bien la llave, no había agua caliente y ese día había tirmenta y hacía frío, cuando abrí la ducha y el agua fue pasando por el desague comenzaba a salir un pésimo olor. La cabecera de la cama estaba oxidada y sucia, llena de polvo, la parte de abajo del colchón que era como otro colchón estaba toda sucia y con manchas, teníamos refri pero olía mal y no lo usamos. Las camas superincomodas al igual que las almohadas. Una de mis almohadas olía mal, y en los cajones de la mesa de noche habían papeles y hasta un chicle, supongo del huésped anterior. En fin no valía para nada el precio, pues al día siguiente me mude a otro hotel millón de veces mejor y más limpio por casi 10 dólares menos. No entiendo cómo puede tener este puntaje o comentarios a menos de que sean falsos, porque siempre elijo hoteles de precio y puntaje similar y nunca me había tocado algo parecido a eate hotel, que ni siquiera debe llamarse hotel, es como una posada, pero muy sucia. La otra explicación puede ser de que como los que atienden son super amables, da pena decirles lo mal que está el establecimiento, pero de verdad que la infraestructura es pésima.

Lamentamos mucho no ser de su agrado , nos caracterizamos por la calidez de nuestra atención y limpieza como podrá ver en diferentes reviews , en las interacciones que tuvimos el placer de brindarle atención no tuvimos notificación sobre esto , si no al contrario , sin embargo para nosotros es muy importante esta retroalimentación. Lo necesario
Pase solo una noche, pero el hotel muy bonito y lo que uno necesita para estar el resto del día en la playa. A mi hijo le encanto y en la noche tenía muchos canales en la tv para ver. Todo ok.

Excellent place in a very good location within Isla Mujeres. All of the touristy areas are within walking distance, and if you want to rent a golf cart, you can do that within walking distance as well. The room was spacious and included everything we needed.

My stay at the Hotel
The Hotel was very cheap, so from that point of view I didn’t expect to much from it. You get what you pay for, and this was true for this Hotel as well, but I guess I’n a positive manner. The Hotel was walking distance from the harbour where the ferry’s departure from, and also a short walking distance from the north beach, which is fantastic. So all in all I am pleased :)

The staff was very friendly, make sure you take your own wash cloths, they are not provided. Excellent patios!! Our room could have used some definate updating, because i did see room across from us.

My air conditioner and tv quit on my first night. I had to spend the entire day on Thursday for air conditioner man. I usually stay somewhere else, but they had no rooms. I believe this hotel is a little overpriced. No glasses in room, no shampoo, and only 2 towels for whole stay.

We loved this place. They family who rums it lives on site and all of the resisdents we met made us feel like family. older hotel and very quaint, not fancy and maybe not for some, but we loved it so. Our first trip to the island was enhanced by our stay here. Certainly part of the overall neighborhood.

Good little hotel.staff were very friendly.they were not busy and gave us our room really early. Very clean. No hairdryer,even to borrow and an annoying drip in the bathroom were the only drawbacks. Great location

Nice quiet place with a home like atmosphere.
I initially booked just one night but booked one extra night. Very relaxing place. My room overlooked the garden courtyard with the trippy lighting. Has a very Mexican feel with the decorations etc. Staff were good.

What you would expect for $100 a night
Staff was great, Location is perfect, Linens filthy and mattresses are brutal. Rooms are a good size and had a TV and a fridge so those we're bonuses. No hot water all four days. No wi-fi in room. Was advertised as 3 double beds were only two. Purified water provided bring your own vessel so you can refill.

Warning!!!
This is a family run hotel that appears to have been left to be run by two young adults who appear to have no formal training on guest relations and customer service. We had a poor welcome, they hardly spoke to us, the girl on reception who showed us our room ran ahead and was well up the corridor before my husband had retrieved his suitcase from reception, leaving us to find our way. Our check out was worse then check in. When I said we were checking out, only two words were spoken the young lad on reception simply glanced up and said "OK" took the keys off me then just as we left the door shouted bye! The room was quite large but in great need of updating, it reminded us of a1970s B&B and the bed and bedding were poor. The bathroom taps were badly lime-scaled and need replacing because they could no longer be cleaned. Reception is only manned until 2200hrs when all lights in the hotel appear to be turned off. Having paid over £100.00 for one night we thought this hotel was far overpriced for the poor quality of accommodation and service we received. Having travelled the Yucatan peninsular and staying in many hotels all of which have been far superior and better value we can not in any circumstance recommend this hotel.

Nightmare!
We reserved a room with a KIng bed and ended up with two double beds that were like sleeping on plywood. There was no soap in the bathroom thank g-d I packed my own. The last straw was when I got up in the middle of the night to pee and the toilet seat was loose and fell in the toilet when I was sitting on it!!

Enjoyed the size and amenities offered in our room; patio was sufficient for two of us providing both sunshine and shade; peaceful although we recommend bringing ear plugs if you prefer to block out late evening music/noise; staff very friendly and able to manage our questions; hotel is convenient to many restaurants & shopping, grocery store, pharmacy, ATM, church, cart/moped rentals, the ferry pier, sports bars (w/multiple TVs), and other late night clubs

Great location! Disappointed with amenities/beds.
Pros - Excellent location for wanting to be close to the beach and downtown shops and restaurants. The AC was fixed, the staff was very friendly and tried to be as helpful as possible, the room was cleaned daily, and we did not have an issue with any of our items missing during the whole week. Cons - We booked a king room and were placed in a room with three full beds. Not at all what we booked. It had a small kitchen area with a frig and a few plastic dishes. No microwave, coffee maker, dish soap, dish cloth or dish towel. They did not provide and do not have washcloths for the bathroom , beach towels or a hair dryer. The beds were hard as a rock and when you sat down on them to put on your shoes, the bed did not budge. Our AC went out twice while there and I ran out of hot water in the shower. Not a lot of storage space in the room for clothing for someone staying a week. We lived out of our suitcases.

Nettes Hotel aber gerade im Umbau
Nettes Hotel im Zentrum aber die Betten im Zimmer waren gewöhnungsbedürfrig. Matratzen waren durchgelegen und die Decken hatten auch schon bessere Tage gesehen. Außerdem waren komische Flecken auf dem Handtüchern. Allgemeine Sauberkeit war aber vorhanden. Personal war auch nett.

Authentic Island Gem
Isla Mujeres is a small island off the coast of Cancun that can only be accessed by ferry. When you are ready to step away from the big chain resorts and have an authentic Mexican vacation experience, this is the place to go. A short walk through town to the east side of the island brings you to the Francis Arlene hotel. There is a beautifully carved sign in the buildings stucco, no neon. The tile floors and brightly decorated lobby give a feeling of home more than hotel. Jordy greated is and was very polite and walked us to our room. The courtyard brings the tropics to life with lush greenery. The room was spacious with a small, but adequate balcony. There was a kitchenette with microwave, refridgerator, and sink. A few more utensils would have been nice, but it's a hotel. The hot water was not working at first, but the owner quickly addressed and corrected. They were also upgrading storm shutters and renovating the other half of hotel. The views of the Caribbean from the rooftop are breathtaking. Catch the sunrise or set for a lasting memory. Overall Great stay if you want a boutique hotel that captures the essence of architecture and culture of the region. Family run hotel with great staff and owner. Gracias

Good place to stay!
I really enjoyed my time here. Didn't spend that much time at the hotel, but the staff was great, the bed was very comfortable, and it had an air conditioner which upped the comfort level. :)
