"Everything great, except that when we booked we informed you that my wife had a breathing problem and used oxygen, and also asked whether you had a lift, to which the answer was yes. On arrival we were given a room on the side without a lift, so my wife was obliged to struggle up and down the stairs. On the side where there was a lift, the sitting room and restaurants required no use of stairs. Obviously you decided to ignore our problem for some other convenience of the hotel management. "

"What an absolutely fabulous place. Adrienne and her wonderful hardworking team could not do enough for our party of 18. From the entire booking process/communication with Adrienne that involved extensive dietary requirements, plus the organisation of activities including clay pigeon shooting, archery and air rifling, professional whisky tasting, arranging a piper and having an official Robbie Burns address to the haggis superbly undertaken by Barney. There was wonderful food constantly provided...

"Americans & Brits all met for a large family reunion at Kinblethmont! The stay was perfect. Communication with Jess & Gem was easy, helpful and kind. The house was absolutely beautiful and always had exactly what was needed- an extra tablecloth, an immersion blender, sharp kitchen knives, etc! Local recommendations from Gem were all spot on as well. A glorious stay!"

"Apartment is stunning, there were 3 of us staying for 2 nights and we had 10 relatives over for drinks one night. Everyone agreed the apartment is unique and special. Amazing views from the balcony. The kitchen was appointed with everything you would need. From the basket of goodies that was left the lemon cake was amazing, as was the fresh orange juice. "My best friend and I got to experience what relatively few Americans will ever experience - sleeping in a real castle! What an experience! The grounds were beautiful, overlooking a flowing river and a gorgeous wooded area. The walk to the quaint town of Peebles was fabulous. "We can’t say enough about this incredibly special place. We found the history of the tower and the surrounding area so intriguing. The recommended walk along the Tweed River and the nearby arboretum were beautiful. Make sure to stay at least a couple nights."

Decent place to stay
"I was only there for one night in transit. The hotel was fine, I had had a fall on the way there and the reception desk provided plasters for which I was grateful, the kettle in my room was defective and they provided a replacement very promptly. The bed was comfortable which is of course also very important."
