"The fixtures and fittings were in very poor shape especially in the living area and the bathroom. We had to be very careful using old electrical appliances and avoiding falls. On the positive side, the room was large, the beds were comfortable and the bed linen was fresh and clean. Fresh bath towels were provided every day. Breakfast and occasional meals were satisfactory."

"Wow!! Winnies B&B became my home away from home. The place is so neat, tidy, clean and so comfortable. The owner was just so hospitable, warm and kind- pretty much a mom. Nothing was ever stolen or missing and felt so comfortable leaving my stuff when leaving. The staff cleaned up after us and even did our washing so that when we came back we could just relax. "I was visiting a friend volunteering for the Peace Corps just down the road so my location was critical. Was pleasantly surprised upon arriving at the White Sands resort. My room was well apportioned and very clean. It looked out through palms to a beautiful white sand beach and ocean. They even strung a hammock just outside my door which made for excellent down time. "Not a place to stay if you like hot or warm showers. There was hot water sometimes, but never when I wanted it. Not satisfactory for what they are charing. "We loved our stay here. We loved the simple Tongan style accommodation. There are only 3 fales set in beautiful tropical gardens where guests are allowed to pick their own pawpaw and coconuts. It is private, secure and quiet, set beside the best snorkelling beach in Tonga with the use of kayaks. The coral is amazing to the right of the beach but you need to be careful to go when it’s calmer and lower tide. We saw whales swim past from the family unit we were staying in.
