"This hotel is superbly placed for the Historic dockyard as well as the Gun Wharf quays, both of which are just a few minutes walk, as is the Portsmouth Harbour rail station. The city centre is about 10-15 mins walk up through the beautiful Victoria Park. The hotel staff I could not fault although the bar and the room we had in the West Wing were a little tired. "We loved that we were welcomed from first entering the hotel. Maria and Bethany, the receptionists not only offered ice creams and pastries, but gave us lots of tips on making savings at local restaurants and shops by showing our room keys. The disabled parking was full so we parked in Gunwharf Quays and the hotel picked up the tab, great. The room was a good size with the usual teas and coffee but there was also another coffee machine at reception with hot chocolate, cappuccino, latte etc...

"Beautiful grounds, the lake enlightens the site, especially when lit of an evening. Loved my Caravan, Clean, modern & had a very comfortable bed. Plenty of room. All the facilities you need on this site too. The staff were so friendly & helpful. This place is Central to all routes to visit the surrounding area’s. "Very friendly restaurant staff. Reception team efficient and very helpful. Asked us about a ramp for my son's wheelchair anytime we came in and out of the hotel. Afternoon tea was an excellent experience. Since covid this is the 1st place that did housekeeping which really made us feel we were on a holiday. "
