The place is fantastic, peaceful, And beautiful. The only thing I recommend is, to take a room on second floor, because first floor is to noisy if the guest on top keeps walking all night.

Buena ubicación, instalaciones deficientes
Buena ubicación, pero las instalaciones son viejas y les falta mantenimiento (Ej. Baños, muebles, cancelería regadera sucia y con manchas) El precio pagado fue mayor al que hubiera tenido directamente en el hotel (supuestamente no había disponibilidad en varios hoteles, pero ya en Carmel sí había habitaciones disponibles)

La cabana es muy comoda. Utencillos de cocina muy completa. Limpia. El mobiliario antiguo. Precio/servicio muy buena. Tiene muy cerca un centro comercial muy completo. A 5 minutos de auto de Carmel by the sea

El GPS me indicó mal el lugar
Llegamo de noche y por alguna razón el GPS me dejó en la parte de atras del hotel. Al hotel se ingresa por la ruta y está incorrecta la dirección para acceder por GPS. La atención es buena, no obstante las fotos que aparecen sobe la habitación no son lo que se ve en la página. para el que no tiene auto, la ubicación no es buena porque está lejos del centro de Carmel. Con auto es fantástico.

Muy Cozy, no es un hotel de lujo, una parte es tipo motel y otra cabañas muy amorosas y el personal del hotel muy atentos y amables.

The Place is really beautiful! we are definitely coming back again, the only down experience was the staff who assisted us was a little mean. I had to work so we aren't able to arrived till almost 10 pm. We received to calls from this person and we let him know that we apologize for any inconvenience of our late check in. but this person is obviously upset and did not give us any smile or welcoming mood when we arrived. it was my husband and I Wedding anniversary and we just escaped for a night. So that kinda ruin the mood. the employee in the morning is very polite that is why I still put at least 3 star on that. all in all the place is nice and clean.

Great place. Was disappointed however that our cottage didn't have a fireplace like in the photos of that category we chose. Bed was very comfortable and the cottage is very cozy.

Beautiful, quiet property; lovely, modern cabin; space for the children to run and play outside. Conveniently located just off California Rt. 1 and in close proximity to both the wonderful natural features of the coast, the excellent downtown beach, and the many nice site-seeing, dining and shopping options in Carmel.

Everything about this property is so old. Even the smell. Even the keys are literally a key in a large key ring like a bangle. The doors are the ones you can open halfway, so weird. I was disappointed because the reviews were nice. The bathroom/shower is tiny and super old. The drain is almost too scary to look at. The shower handle and hardware are loose and falling apart, not to mention the shower door. The laminate floors are splitting. The walls are thin. There are not enough outlets to plug chargers for gadgets. No microwave. The bathroom mirror is broken in the corner. It is quiet because it is somewhat hidden and almost easy to miss the turn to the entrance. It literally is next to the river/water stream. That one is somewhat nice. The 2 male receptionists I've met, one on the day of check in and one on the day of check out were at least nice and friendly.

I stayed in the Studio Cottage with Wet Bar Two Beds. It was a wonderful stay, we enjoyed the beautiful river that runs in the back of the inn. There is a swing which we enjoyed after our nice walk through the grounds. Our cottage had a small table and 2 chairs outside, which was wonderful to enjoy our coffee. Thank you for the making out stay wondeful.

The room we thought we had reserved wasn't what they gave us. The bathroom shower door was moldy. We left and are disputing our reservation.

Hi Angela, We do have different room types available on Expedia and we are sorry you were confused. But you did reserve a standard king room not a cottage. We work hard with Expedia to make sure the photos and descriptions are accurate.

Great Stay!
This place was even better than I was anticipating. We loved our cottage with a wet bar. Super clean and modern inside. The clawfoot bathtub was lovely and I actually didn't know it was going to have a fireplace unit in it. Would definitely recommend or stay again.

I love the environment that is surrounding the little cottage. Beautiful room and board. Small bathroom but it was rather quaint. Will come here again the next opportunity. Good food and great place to vacay. Recommend staying here for the Point Lobos Hike.

We chose Carmel River Inn for a girls weekend get away. The cottage was so cute and perfect for us. The porch was nice for morning mimosas and painting. We loved that we weren't sharing walls with anybody. The room included microwave, toaster, real dishes, and a dishwasher. All of the dish cleaning supplies were there as well. There was a coffee pot (the real kind, not pods) and they made sure we had enough coffee. Staff was super friendly and the grounds were lovely. The only negative is that we did get some ants looking for water in the evening.

The rooms are very dated. My room did not look like the photos which I always check so I know what I’m getting. Very outdated, old, felt like grandmas basement…and was definitely not worth the price. the staff was very friendly and helpful.

Thank you for your feedback. Although we do have a variety of room types as well as vintage and modern cottages, some renovated. The room you stayed in is reflected accurately in our photos on Expedia. We pride ourselves on making sure the guest is aware prior to visiting. We are sorry for any confusion and sorry you did not enjoy your stay.

Absolutely loved our stay! Super easy to get to, fast check-in/check-out. We stayed in one of the cottages and it was extremely cute and cozy. 10/10 and would absolutely stay here again when we are in town. Best way to celebrate our engagement together!
