Description

Get to know Australian history in a vivid, contemporary setting amid the scenery of the Blue Mountains. The Waradah Australian Centre presents a tapestry of artwork, souvenirs, workshops, and live performances that lets you experience the continent's heritage from it's Indigenous past to it's current cosmopolitan society.

When you step into the Centre, you get an introduction to the enduring, vivid examples of Aboriginal art. A gallery depicts paintings that illustrate the rich and colorful styles from the Central and Western Desert areas, while workshops and small group lectures let you learn about the history and origin of the Aboriginal Art movement.

September 2018 saw our Live Performances transform into a fantastic new experience that encompass and celebrate the significant events in Australia’s colourful history.

The show includes aspects of Australia’s rich Indigenous culture, as well as details of our Bush Ranger, Gold Rush and ANZAC heritage in full period costume.

The live performances are accompanied by the latest multimedia software and hardware, which project related images on to 3 screens. Furthermore, investments in Acoustiguide’s patented translation software allow International visitors to experience the live performances into 1 of 8 programmable languages.

The performances run for 30 minutes. The schedule is as follows:

10:30am, 11:30am, 12:30pm, 1:30pm and 2:30pm.
