Know before you book

  • The tour departs at 9:45 am – meet strictly at 9:25 am.
  • Usually group size is maximum 20 people, although we reserve the right to extend the limit to 22. However, transportation will be shared with other groups.
  • We are working hard in our team, and with all our partners, to be up to the current circumstances. All our services will abide by all health and security policies issued by the competent administrations. Our top priority is and will be ensuring a safe environment for all our customers and our team.
  • If you have reduced mobility, contact us before booking. We’ll do our best to welcome you on board!
  • Comfortable clothes and shoes are recommended as there is some walking involved.
  • Temperatures in Montserrat and the winery tend to be more extreme than in Barcelona. Please check the weather forecast the day before and dress accordingly. We advise bringing water, especially during the summer season.
  • Infants aged 3 or less may join the tour free of charge, but note that no car seat or meals are provided.
  • We cater for any dietary allergies or restrictions.
  • We work daily with different low-production, family-owned boutique wineries. Due to logistic reasons, you might visit another cellar instead of Oller del Mas.

What you can expect

Montserrat

Your tour departs from central Barcelona, from which we will head for the village of Monistrol de Montserrat.
From Monistrol we will take the “Cremallera de Montserrat”, a cogwheel train offering great views of the
countryside and the mountain. Once at the Monastery your guides will then transmit their passion and
knowledge of the landmark to you during the guided visit – history, legends and the importance of this site in the development of Catalonia. After walking through the monastery, you will have some free time for shopping at the Farmer’s Market or taking a few pictures at the Stairway to Heaven. You may have the opportunity to listen to l’Escolania de Montserrat, the oldest Boys’ Choir in Europe*.

*L’Escolania does not sing on Saturdays, school holidays, and several dates throughout the year. Tickets must be purchased in advance.

Boutique winery and local meal

It is now time for food and wine! You will enjoy a fabulous multi-course local meal accompanied by regional wine at a restaurant near the winery. The homemade, local cuisine will ensure a gastronomical adventure that contents every personal taste. Please note that we can cater for any dietary restriction.

Like in all our tours, you will taste three fantastic local wines before finishing off a great day outdoors as part of one of our reduced groups. A day to remember!
