The “Art on Wheels” Gallery is a unique space dedicated to the exhibition of personalized bicycles by the artist Aníbal García Moreno, with a recognized professional career in the field of customization, who has maintained a special connection with them since his childhood, given that they served as therapy for him to overcome an illness that affected him for years, being his faithful and inseparable companions, a circumstance that motivated him to dedicate himself to the recovery of all those bicycles that came into his hands, suffering the ravages of abandonment and destruction, with the purpose of giving them a second chance, converted into true works of art, and thus returning all the good they provided.
The Gallery offers the visitor the possibility of enjoying an exclusive environment, located in a building of important historical significance, with a preserved industrial structure, which merges with art that inspires the magic and illusion of each setting, formed from paintings handmade, with a subtle Canarian identity, integrated with various significant elements, which involve authentic works of art “on wheels”.
The creation is based on the so-called 3R concept, that is, reinventing, reusing and recycling, promoting respect for the environment, in each of the jewels that stand in representation of different characters, environments and contexts.
This beautiful space is located in the municipality of Teror (Gran Canaria), Paseo González Díaz street, number 5, approximately three minutes walk from the Basilica Nuestra Señora del Pino.
Opening hours are Tuesday to Friday from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Saturdays, Sundays and holidays from 10:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. (adaptable to the needs of visitors).
