We had a truly relaxing and peaceful stay at this property. The house is incredibly spacious, giving everyone plenty of room to spread out, and it’s tucked away in a very quiet area,which made for a wonderfully restful experience.The beds were very comfortable, and the air conditioning worked perfectly throughout the house, keeping everything cool and comfortable even in the heat. The pool was an absolute lifesaver and a centerpiece of our stay.Dony and Fany were fantastic at managing the property. They were responsive, attentive, and clearly take great pride in keeping the property in great shape. Everything was clean, well-maintained, and any questions we had were quickly addressed. One of the things we appreciated most was having access to a full kitchen and groceries, since the house is about 45 minutes from town by golf cart and around 30 minutes to Secret Beach. That said, there were a couple of downsides that weren't in the owners' control. There were severe storms and winds on two separate occasions, which caused water to come in through the front door. We spent one evening laying down towels to prevent flooding. Also, the sargassum was very heavy during our stay, preventing us from swimming in the ocean at the property, which was a big disappointment for us. Thankfully, the pool more than made up for it.All in all, this is a beautiful, peaceful property, and I'd recommend it to anyone

Fantastic place exactly as described. It is 'up north' so be prepared for a 35 minute cart ride from the airport. Well worth it for the pool, beach, and view

From the moment we got to the house we were taken care of. Adam met us outside to help us get all settled in. The home was beautiful and came equipped with everything our family of 6 needed for our vacation. Everything was beautiful from the inside-out. We enjoyed the pool, the dock, and the absolute beautiful views from inside and outside the home. Helen and Adam made sure the home stayed clean, the beach was raked, and pool cleaned every morning. The food Helen prepared for us was some of the best food we ever ate. Adam set us up fishing poles to fish off of the pier. I highly recommend to anyone who wants a perfect and stress free vacation for your family and kids.

We couldn't have enjoyed our stay more. First of all, Adam, the caretaker, and his wife Hellen are top notch! Adam made sure we had everything we needed daily. Hellen and her cooking, not to be missed! We were there for almost two weeks and could have easily stayed another two. Adam and his brother Felix took us out for a day of snorkeling, fishing, watching dolphins and feeding the tarpin. That was by far the highlight of the trip. The home is equipped for all your needs. The pool is fantastic! Probably the largest pool we've had at a home rental yet. We always bring pool floaties with us but didn't even need them because the home was more than well equipped. Thank you for a wonderful and relaxing break!

This property was an A+ from start to finish. Simon and Elena made things so easy and were super helpful with every question we had. The on line guidebook is a MUST to read entirely before you travel. It saved us a LOT of time. Alex with Exquistie Eats was the best in home chef we could ask for. Food was amazing. Adam, on site property manager, was great! He was available when needed and checked in each day. He even took the time to show us the four stages of coconuts including climbing a tree! The house was super clean and stocked well. Beds were comfortable. It was such an amazing home. We could see the boats on Shark Ray alley from the house. Only minor downside is stairs to the lower level were outside. If you like the beach, this is not the place for you. There is a lot of seaweed and no swimming. However, EVERYTHING else in this home made up for it. The pool and view were incredible. There are many restaurants close by including Sweet Water and Tropical Escape with excellent food. The golf cart ride is an adventure in itself lol. We traveled all the way to Tranquility Bay, which was a little far to go in the golf cart but we spent some time at Margaritaville which was fun. I could go on and on and on. It was a perfect vacation. We would definitely recommend and return to this property. Thank you for sharing your amazing home.

Had a great time! House had everything one needed. We were three couples, and there are four bedrooms. The only complaint is the downstairs with two bedrooms is more like a cabin in the woods, rustic. Had everything except kitchen. Does have a refrigerator and microwave though. Just separated, washer dryer upstairs. Caretaker is superb, can make anything happen including wonderful meals if one wishes. There is a fantastic boat available which we had a great time utilizing. Snorkeling coral reefs, the most beautiful I’d ever seen. All in all a great trip❣️

The house was fantastic. It was in a quiet part of the island which we enjoyed, but easy to get into town. The ocean directly behind the was beautiful and we loved having a private pool and access to kayaks. We would definitely stay here again!

Anil Mar is a great location and beautiful. Adam is wonderful and very helpful. The sargassum is all over the beach, but there isn’t much we could do about that. Ambergris Caye is a wonderful place to visit.

We truly enjoyed our stay despite debris on the beach which Adam and his son were very prompt to clean up. Adam was a great help and setup my husband and his brother on some amazing fishing expedition. Can wait to come back and visit 😊!!

I can’t say enough wonderful things about this house, Adam and the property management company. We had several cancelled flights both trying to get there and get back to the US and they were so helpful getting our flights to and from the island changed and accommodating us. Adam was so helpful with anything we needed and the house was so beautiful. What an amazing place to stay.

Añil Mar is a beautiful beach cottage on an even more beautiful beachfront property. The pool was a great way to begin and end the day, and driving the golf cart to dinner each night was an adventure. My favorite was coffee (generously provided by the host) on the porch each morning. The only negative is the sargasso grass covering the beaches, and unfortunately, we could not use the pier because it was being replaced during our stay. I suspect that is the best place for coffee in the morning and drinks in the evening! I gave a 4 on accuracy of posting because we were unaware of the pier construction until we arrived, and we had selected this house over some of the others because of the private pier and its palapa.

Adam, the caretaker, was amazing. We were well taken care of, and the property was well taken care of every single day. The pool was absolutely perfect. We were a bit surprized by the distance to town. A few miles is a long way to go on a golf cart. We were also surprized at how the sargassum has impacted the entire shoreline where the house is. Swimming at secret beach was the only beach option without chartering a boat.. Snorkeling at Mexico Rocks, right off shore from the house was amazing, but it was necessary to go with a tour operator. Even though kayaks are available at the house, they are not allowed in the marine reserve. We did go in June, which is in the rainy season, and mosquitos were everywhere. We were a bit late in realizing bug spray is a must before stepping outside.... Would definitely recommend the house and property for a great vacation getaway and as a jumping off place for great fishing, snorkeling, diving etc. but it's not in a location where swimming in the ocean or walking along the beach is possible.

We took a sibling trip with my husband and his two brothers and their wives. 6 of us total. The house was absolutely beautiful and perfect. Even better in person than the pictures. The pool was amazing and perfect for relaxing. Adam was amazing. He was always available for whatever we needed. He even took us snorkeling. It was beautiful and more than we expected. The only negative would be the seagrass in the water and on the beach at the house. We didn’t know ahead of time that this would be an issue. But, between the pool and our trips to Secret Beach all was well.

It was an absolute delight to stay at this property. Communication with management was exceptional. They helped arrange everything we needed and were extremely prompt in answering any questions we had. Adam, the on site care taker was the best! He went out of his way to make sure we were good to go. His insight on everything from the history of the island to food and sightseeing recommendations made a huge difference in our stay. The villa was delightful and the location was perfect for us, quiet and serine but close enough to anything we wanted to see. We highly recommend this villa!

This property was ALL that we expected it to be. INCREDIBLE location, VERY clean and BEAUTIFUL grounds. The interior is decorated differently than the photos show but we believe this is due to improvements being made by the new owners. Finishes in home are outdated BUT the cleanliness makes up for this. It truly is a beautiful home. We can't say enough about Adam, the caretaker. He was AMAZING! Our pool was cleaned each morning (before we woke up). He was onsite to help with whatever we needed. Our first morning he cut down fresh coconuts for us to enjoy and our last night his lovely wife prepared the most delicious meal of the fresh fish we caught earlier in the day. We all felt to have found a new friend and look forward to keeping in touch with him. Simon at Sunrise Management was incredibly responsive to our requests & any questions we had. He took care of our arrival & departure transportation as well as booking requested excursions and onsite activities. Although there are very firmly stated Covid Protocol procedures, and to which we followed, our trip was cut short (by 4 days) due to being exposed to a positive Covid Case by an individual brought onto the property for a requested spa service - this being NO FAULT of Simon or Adam! My only recommendation would be that if an outside company is providing services (with extended service times) to international travelers it would be nice for them to be rapid tested before providing those services. We look forward to returning to Anil Mar one day!!!!!

Property and house were well maintained. We enjoyed fishing off the dock and kayaking. The best part of the vacation was Adam. He netted us bait for fishing and kept the pool clean. He assisted us when our golf cart blew a tire and made sure we had a new cart as soon as possible. Normally we rent a different house each year in Belize but we all agreed that we are returning to Anil Mar.

My family and I loved our stay at Anil Mar! The property is gorgeous. It had absolutely everything we needed to enjoy our stay. The best part was Adam. Such a great guy and helped whenever we needed it. The set up was perfect for my family. Two big bedrooms (with bathrooms) upstairs along with comfy couches an additional bathroom and huge kitchen upstairs. This was perfect place for us all to hang out together. The downstairs was great for my daughter and son-in-law to have their own space with an additional bathroom and bedroom. We hope to stay here again!

Where do you begin…. From the time we stepped off the San Pedro Express Water Taxi and were greeted by our driver to take us to Anil Mar, our group was in awe. This was our first time in Belize and it offered more than we could have imagined. The house was even better than the photos. Adam the concierge for the home went above and beyond to make us feel Comfortable. We were greeted by him every morning as we drank coffee on the porch and he made sure the pool was impeccably clean. Our group got to know Adam and Hellen and truly enjoyed their hospitality. You have to ask Adam to make his homemade ceviche! It’s out of this world!! Tears fell as we had to leave Belize today. We left a part of our heart that and are already planning next years adventure back to Anil Mar and can’t wait to see Adam and his doggies that we all spoiled rotten!! Anil Mar is a fantastic property! You won’t be disappointed!!

House and pool very nice. Adam, the care taker, and wife Hellen were wonderful. The boat excursions were very well done. All the people on the island were following the Covid prevention methods extremely well. The people are very nice and friendly. Ambergris Caye has very bumpy roads and that is a problem that the government needs to fix.
