This property was perfect for our trip! Safe part of town, clean and tidy...everything is walkable...we used it for three guests but it could handle four. Hosts were easy and quick to communicate with...really enjoyed our trip on every level.

We loved this place. The location is hard to beat and having so many books to choose from made the stay extra special. Now I have to go check out Heavens Lathe to see how it ends! The beds were comfy and the kitchen had all we needed. Thanks for offering this sweet spot.

Great location

It was very easy, checking into our apartment. The apartment itself was very clean. However, the bathroom sink seemed a little bit small and there was a weird smell from the water which we understand is due to the sulfur content. The location was near everything and we were able to find parking Nearby. Our only complaint was that the wooden deck surrounding the house was extremely slippery and one of my daughters fell and really hurt yourself bad on the steps. They may want to warn people that it gets so slippery when wet.

Great location!

Really I wish I could give this place a 4.5 rather than a 4. It worked really nicely for my family of four when we visited. The location can't be beat. It's super close to downtown restaurants and stores but on a quiet side street so it wasn't loud. It's so easy to walk to everything, and there's a grocery store less than two block away, so we only ever used the car when going out of the city. On-street parking was reasonably easy to find, (it's worth it to try to find a spot a block or two away to get the cheaper parking zone but it was still close, easy, and seemed safe). In the apartment we loved the seating in the living area - comfy and plenty of room for all of us. My only two complaints would be:- The beds could use some additional pillows (there was only one per person and not very comfy)- The washer-dryer is actually one unit and is small. So you can't wash a load while drying another, which is limiting. Also the dryer doesn't fully dry the clothes, but there is a big drying rack which works just fine, as long as you don't need something dry immediately. Both are relatively small complaints, just worth knowing ahead of time. Overall, I totally recommend this place!

Cozy in Reykjavik

This was a lovely cozy home in a great location! Close to the center and the bus terminal, supermarket just around the corner, and relatively quiet. The wifi was a bit slow/didn't always reach the far end of the flat but it just encouraged us to hang out together more!

Cosy flat in a great location

This flat was cosy and comfortable and in a great location. It was a short walk to Laugavegur and there was a supermarket a couple of minutes walk away. Easy parking on the street outside the flat or on the surrounding streets for lower rates. Responsive host who provided lots of helpful information.

Credit Card Process

Stay was great. 2 days prior we got a message looking for a copy of the credit card we used to book the stay. We did that many months in advance. We didn't have that card on us during our trip. Found that stressful considering they had a good card on file and we'd already paid. I was looking for last minute lodging thinking they were going to reject us.

Convenient to everything

The cheerful, comfortable apartment was a great home base. We could walk everywhere, from Harpa to the Bus Station to Saga Museum and Laugavegur St we toured the beautiful city as we went along. The Kronan is right around the corner, where we got our food supplies

Great apartment at the heart of Reykjavik

Very nice comfortable accommodation in a quiet side street of downtown Reykjavik. Check-in and communications were very smooth. The only compromise was no on-site parking, but there is free on street parking about 5 minutes walk away.

Great location

We stayed for one night in September. The property looked just like the pictures and was very clean. A supermarket was 2 minutes away and many restaurants were within a 5 minute walk but the street itself was very quiet. Communication with the host was very quick and easy.

Mixed Reviews

The location in town is terrific. Close to Pond, shopping, grocery stores. Unit was clean and adequate - we had three adults, each had our own bed. The bookcases were stocked full of wonderful reading materials. Very homey. And we got an immediate response when we needed towels. A couple of not-so-great features: the house next door was under construction, so lots of noise during the day; the master bedroom is literally right on the sidewalk and street (as all the houses are); it's not a main street but there was road traffic and people walking by and talking loudly at all hours - at night it was disruptive and I didn't sleep; don't count on cooking much because the kitchen was barely adequate - only one pan, no large bowls, no food storage containers. Overall, I would have liked to know these features/bugs beforehand when I was deciding where to stay. Finally, although I got responses from the 'host', it wasn't clear who the host was. It seems to be a company so different people contacted me at various times.

Comfortable home base

We did a 6 day hike on Lagavegur Trail so were looking for a before and after spot to stay. This was perfect! Walkable to all the great museums and Harpa, plus the Kronan grocery store around the corner. The laundry machine was appreciated!

Great apartment!

Great apartment, close to restaurants and shopping. Very clean. Only complaint is that it can get noisy with people walking by at night. It was fine for us but might bother some people. The neighbor is super cute and the apartment was perfect for our family if 4.

Excellent Location/Excellent Flat

This flat is terrific! The location is excellent - close to everything and easy parking. The instructions on how to use everything in the flat were very helpful. The management company were very responsive to the additional requests we had (more pillows, etc). The space worked great for our family of 4. The flat is comfortable and was totally sufficient for our needs. The wifi in the flat is pretty weak, but it does work and it generally worked for us. There is nice outdoor space and It would have been wonderful to have furniture outside. Overall it was a great place and we would definitely rent there again.

Great Place in a Great Location

A very charming apartment. Location was less than 5 minutes walk from the main bars, shops and restaurants of Reykjavik but away from the noise. Easy street parking, requires payment during the day but inexpensive and easy to do via web.
