Beautiful home on the water

We had a wedding to attend in Campbell River, and stayed in Qualicum Bay as we wanted small town setting with ocean front. With a walkout just steps from the beach, you can sit and listen to the ocean while enjoying the deck and view as well as hearing the seals barking. During low tide we took a 45 minute walk on the beach, and found many different and unique shells. Jim was very courteous and friendly when we saw him, and includes a binder with information about the home and some area activities and farmers markets.We highly recommend this property and will stay there again if we get pack to the area.

May Stay

Property was clean, location great, three bedrooms great, kitchen had pretty much everything needed, the sitting area VERY dated, dark furniture and decor and though there were 6 of us, not enough seating in the living room for six to sit and chat. it is very much a basement apartment and needs brighting up.

Perfect Stay

Jim was a great host, providing help when needed. Stand outs here were the beautiful ocean view, the location and the comfort of the accommodation. We enjoyed walks on the beach, all sorts of outings and Netflix viewed from a very comfy couch. Would love to stay here again.

Beautiful home

Great stay at this property, the suite itself is great, was very happy with the kitchen and layout. Loved the location it gave you peace and solitude while still being within driving distance of many activities, and beach was wonderful during low tide! My little one had so much fun playing in the sand. Would definetly stay again.

The place is perfect, everything is there and in excellent condition. The views are spectacular and chairs to enjoy the sights. A little further out from Qualicum Beach than I expected.

Lovely apartment in beautiful setting

The ocean front setting was lovely. The apartment was very spacious, well designed and decorated. It had the most conveniences of any suite i have stayed in the past. There were eating places nearby and great grocery store in Bowser. I received a second access code from VRBO which made things confusing but was addressed by the owner before checkin.

Relaxing getaway!

Beautiful location - just walk out the door onto the sandy beach. Incredible views. The suite has everything needed - especially in the kitchen. The Sandbar cafe is a short distance away and has amazing food. We also visited the Farmers market in Qualicum. We didnt get the chance this time, but my husband still talks about wanting to return to try out some ocean fishing.

Beautiful Location

The suite was everything we needed. On a beautiful beach, close to a few good eating places and a short drive to many golf courses. The owner Jim was available to answer any questions we had. Suite was very clean and comfortable.

Relaxing Getaway

We just finished our third stay at this property and would highly recommend it. The property has incredible ocean views on a beautiful sandy beach - lots of wildlife can be seen including whales, seals and bald eagles. It is a great location away from the touristy areas of Qualicum but still some great places (tacos, ice cream, pub) within walking distance. The house is always clean and well stocked, with lots of space for our family. We’ve already booked for 2024 and can’t wait to be back. Thanks Jim!

Our favourite secret beach side getaway

Another great week up island in Qualicum Bay “at the beach cabin” as our young kids now call it. We love staying at this laid back ground floor suite literally steps to the quiet beach & a short drive to all the needed necessities & mid Island hot spots. Hope to keep coming back each summer.

Excellent location in Bowser.

Our first time in a long term rental was an overall good experience. The location is excellent location to start our daily beach combing. Our host “Jim”, had some issues that were dealt with while we were there.
