I was practically harassed by this company to give my information and payments, multiple weeks before reservation and I totally complied. When day of check in arrived, welkey was non responsive and very rude. I had arrived early and requested check in at that time, which was denied and I was sent an email stating check in was at 3pm. Waiting was not a problem and I arrived at 3 pm, in the rain, where I was told someone would be there. 3:10, 3:30, 3:40- no response back? It wasn’t till I called VRBO that I received a call from the host and he told me- he could have got me in early and that the key to apartment was under the mat of the front door, he gave me access code and I went to front door- no key? Someone opened the door and it was the cleaning service stating room was not ready? Then I called welkey to get refund , and they would not grant one and I was told that it wasn’t their fault as they had 200 apartments to deal with??? I then walked across the city, in the rain, to get a hotel. Shame on Welkey and shame on VRBO for not standing up for their customers- it clearly states that they give a “book with confidence guarantee” and that is not what they did. I would highly suggest not going thru Welkey group if you can.
