Love this beach house

We really love this beach house. Beautiful home in a great location. Pacific City is perfect. Small town but has all the amenities without being to big. Close to Tillamook and Lincoln city.

Beautiful on the outside but filthy on the inside

This home has great potential but fell short. It has spectacular views but the inside is awful. We found hair EVERYWHERE! The cabinet drawers needed emptying out and scrubbing. The beautiful windows were full of children’s handprints. The showers had mold that would easily come out with proper cleaning. The pillows needed pillow protectors and smelled like dirty hair. The grill needed tossing out and completely replaced. The management did offer to come out and “touch up” the home but we felt that it needed much more than that. I’m of the thought process that it should have been done right in the first place BEFORE we entered. It wasn’t little oversights on the housekeeping end. It would have taken hours to get that home in the state it needed to be for renting. So beware of this BEFORE you decide to stay in this home.

Renters Beware! Pictures do NOT match reality

Aside from the view, how did this place get so many five-star ratings? Stains, mold, and threadbare towels. The entire house needs a good painting, scrubbing, and TLC. We have collectively rented A LOT of coastal properties over the years, and this is by far the worst. We were given the incorrect access code for the door key. After a quick phone call, we were given the correct code and able to access the house. The blinds for two windows in the primary bedroom were broken and dirty. The curtain rods in all of the closets are bent and falling apart. There was hair in the tub downstairs and copious amounts of mold in both showers. When I say copious I mean COPIOUS! It was gross. Every single towel was threadbare with stains and seemed unwashed. There were at least three towels that looked used – one with a noticeable blood stain, two that looked as if someone had used them instead of toilet paper and then folded and returned them to their shelf. Every surface was dirty, one of us even cut our foot on a leftover glass shard on the kitchen floor. There were stains on the entire couch, the bench cushion in the kitchen, which we covered with sheets in order to feel comfortable. We reached out to management with our list and requested a cleaning fee and last night refund and were offered half off the cleaning fee, about 100 dollars. We understand normal wear and tear, but the level of filth was excessive. We would not recommend this property, nor Oregon Beach Vacation.

Just what we needed!

My brother recently and surprisingly passed away right before his daughter’s 18th birthday. We this home to celebrate my nieces birthday. The first one she’s had without her dad. It was absolutely and I know she loved every moment of it. While We had some very therapeutic moments as a family to cry together, and also provided us the opportunity to share wonderful memories and celebrate his beautiful daughter. Thank you so much for giving us this beautiful space to be together and grieve and celebrate ♥️

Gorgeous Beach House

Clean open floor plan with lots of room to lounge in front of big picturesque windows. We had coffee and happy hour on the porch. The sound of waves crashing and breathing the salt air makes my heart full!

Dreamy Beach House

Barnacle Bills was a lovely property. Views were insane!! We never wanted to leave or go eat at a restaurant because the kitchen and living room looked right out to the ocean and Haystack rock. The sunsets were amazing too. Loved how clean the house was and how it was decorated. Well stocked with towels and all that we needed. I would warn you to bring your own cooking oils and condiments but there are some spices & a working grill. We loved how close it was to town, we walked through the neighborhood trails to the brewery and grocery store. One thing that was hard for us is that we brought our 1 year old and the stairs were super dangerous for him so we needed a baby gate, since there wasn’t one we had to block off the stairs with a bench and chairs. Looking back I could have reached out to the rental agency to see if they had a baby gate of any sort. If you’re an adult in a wheelchair this house may be hard for you to navigate - my young daughter is in a wheelchair but there is only a few stairs so we were able to carry her up and down just fine. Everyone slept well in the nice big beds, linens were cozy and clean. I couldn’t recommend this house more!! Thanks Barnacle Bills!

One of our favorites

We go to Pacific City about four times a year and this house is one of our go-to homes- the view and access to the beach and space for kids to play and adults to have their time is great. I almost hate to leave this review because I want the home to be available when we have time to rent it!

Excellent location and well maintained

I have stayed here before and will again - so comfortable and lay out is great for one or more families. The only issue was the cleanliness of the floors and dust on the lighting and dishwashing detergent wasn't available - what was left was the dry/rinse pods but i just bought some and it was fine.

Great place, great location, great service and amenities.

Great view with a big balcony. This place had everything you need. From a washer and dryer to a coffee maker and kettle and BBQ. Very clean, and the beds were very nice and big. Worth the money. Right on the beach.

Perfect Location

I hate to give this house such a wonderful review because then everyone is going to want to stay here! This home has been beautifully remodeled and it’s located right on the beach. It has direct access to the beach through a side gate. My husband, infant daughter and I stayed for a week and had family and friends visit throughout our stay. The house is big enough to accommodate a much bigger party then ours but it was nice to have the extra space. This trip meant a lot to us because our daughter has a terminal disease and this very well might have been our last vacation we get with her. We made so many wonderful memories on this trip and this house made it so easy to do. The kitchen was well stocked and there was even a BBQ. The back deck was perfect for watching surfers during the day and the sunsets at night. The house was clean and the beds were comfortable, the couch left a little to be desired, but it wasn’t bad. This house is definitely at the top of our list for future beach trips!
