Bourbon Trail recovering Lumenaries Gathering

I like when everything is as it should be when you rent a vacation home. This listing is that home. Clean, functional, and in a quiet area. The back deck overlooking the water was nice in the morning. The home is close to Buffalo Trace. Easy 15 minute drive. Every rental has some minor issue. In this case, the master bath did not have towels. Not a big deal, the cleaning crew just forgot. I did not even feel the need to call anyone. A great rental and I obviously gave it a high rating.

Quiet Retreat

We had a great time staying there. It was the perfect distance to all the places we wanted to visit. The lake was beautiful and all the wildlife was so great to watch. Plenty of space to spread out to be together and to have your own space. We thoroughly enjoyed staying there. It took a day or two to figure the trick of locking the front door with the key, but we figured it. We would definitely return!

Bourbon Trail

The property was clean and in a great location to start and end a day off distillery visits. The queen bed in the upstairs bedroom was one of the most comfortable experienced while traveling.

Beautiful back porch view.

After hitting the bourbon trail, it was a great spot to relax and look at turtles and wildlife in the backyard. Frankfort is a quaint lovely little town with great restaurants and friendly people.

Bourban Trail Abode

7 adult family members have planned this trip since last Christmas. We loved the house and it worked out perfectly for us. Howard, the owner, was very quick to respond with help on figuring out the lock system. The only negative is that two of the showers did not produce hot water, We took very quick lukewarm showers-Ha! All in all we had a great time.

Thanksmas Weekend

This was our family’s Thanksgiving and Christmas weekend. The house accommodated us well. It was super clean and well appointed. I would suggest adding a hand mixer to the kitchen. Otherwise there were plenty of utensils and pans. Opening the front door was a bit tricky but they explained how to do it in their instructions. Lovely home

Would stay here again!

Lovely and large home. We appreciated how well-stocked it was with coffee, filters, paper towels, toilet paper, Kleenex, etc. So many places we have booked have lacked in just the basics. The kitchen is well-stocked with quality items (which has also been lacking at some of the other vrbos). We had to call Howard as we had trouble with the lock and he called back within seconds of getting our message. There is no problem with the lock. Our guys can’t read directions! lol. The driveway is a bit tight with two vehicles but we managed fine plus you can pull your car into the garage. We would stay here again!

Annual trip-#4! Loved the area and the house was very nicely located for all our activities- bourbon tasting, horse racing, apple picking and just soaking in the October days! Well stocked with everything we needed. Back deck was perfect for early morning or late afternoon chats.

Frankfort Retreat

Great location to get into Frankfort, hit the highway/freeway, or explore nearby sites. Communication with owner was easy, timely, and informative. House was clean. View was lovely, although water behind the house does attract flying insects. Quiet neighborhood with easy instructions for household rules provided. Bedrooms were spacious. Three bathrooms allowed easy readying for the day or night. Kitchen was well stocked, although we did not cook there. Grill available for those so inclined. Comfortable seating areas upstairs and downstairs to allow folks to spread out. Towels/linens were adequate, but upgrade would not be unappreciated. Stocked well with paper products and soaps. Games, two TVs (Wi-Fi, but no cable, so streaming is option), gathering area for cards must house very good for groups. Loved the arboretum tour at Buffalo Trace. It's a well-run operation and worth a visit (and I am not a bourbon drinker, and I still appreciated the tour). Liked Bourbon on Main for dinner, Rebecca Ruth for chocolate, Sage for lunch, brunch (and the greenhouse next door is lovely). Would recommend and hope to stay in area again.

Lovely Home
