During my recent stay at the Golden Nugget in Las Vegas, I encountered treatment that left me deeply dissatisfied, particularly in comparison to my previous visit. This time, I felt discriminated against due to our language skills. Despite clearly communicating our need for a room with two beds, we were assigned a room with only one bed, which resulted in an uncomfortable situation for the three people who had to share that bed.
When we tried to address this issue, instead of receiving immediate assistance, we were sent back to the end of a long line. Although a kind lady directed us to the VIP lounge to clarify our situation, once there, we were denied service. Back at the check-in desk, we were informed that any changes to our reservation would incur an additional charge of $80 per night, which seemed unreasonable given that our request was quite simple and reasonable.
This lack of understanding and flexibility is in stark contrast to the hospitality and service we expect and had previously experienced at your establishment. We had hoped the Golden Nugget would show greater sensitivity to the needs and concerns of its guests, regardless of language barriers.
I sincerely hope this feedback is taken into consideration to improve service and ensure all guests feel welcomed and valued, regardless of their language or background.
