Great unit. Checkin/out is a hassle

Loved the place. Exactly as advertised and was very relaxing. More space than anticipated. Lots of extra thoughtful gestures from the host. Would have preferred to check in directly to the unit but had to drive to town to pick up the key. Same with check out. Seems like an outdated practice but great place.

We loved our experience at The Shed! It was exactly the hill country retreat we were looking for, and still a close drive to the Fredericksburg main street and wineries. We loved the view, the cozy interior, and hanging out with the chickens on property. Thanks for a great stay!

Not our typical experience

Hello, maybe I'm not the "normal" VRBO guest or maybe my expectations are high? This would not be considered luxurious to me, I would change the adjective to Rustic. The view of the countryside was pleasant from the porch and the bed was soft and comfortable. We did find bugs on the kitchen counter tops, and mildew in the shower which probably just needs the caulking replaced. I never received an email from the rental company telling me where the key was or providing insructions for check out. I had to find a phone number to call them an hour before check in. It, also, was very inconvenient that we had to drive back in to town to return our key when we were trying to go the opposite direction of Fredericksburg, which was why we booked outside of town to begin with. Why couldn't there be a key drop off at the rental location? I was also surprised to find that the owners live on the property and never came to greet/meet us. I've never stayed in an ABB or VRBO where there was zero communication. If you're an introvert this place is for you!

Wonderful tranquil stay

We loved our stay! Especially the porch rockers, the Texas sunshine, very comfortable bed, cozy living room and well stocked kitchen. Thank you for the chicken feed! Your girls are lovely and it was fun to watch them running to the treats :-) We enjoyed our evening walk down the road at sunset. This is a very special place with porch views of pasture, sheep, chickens and sweet peaceful quietness. We would definitely return. Thank you for sharing your property!!

My wife and I really enjoyed our one night stay in "The Shed." The country décor is cute and inviting. We awoke to a beautiful sunrise and the sound of roosters crowing. I would definitely stay here again and recommend to friends who are looking for a quiet and peaceful place to get away.

It was a wonderful place to stay very peaceful. Love the chickens and being able to see the sheep across the street and deer in the yard. It was beautiful inside and on. Loves how tiny and comfortable it was.
