Dairy Cottage

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Dairy Cottage. Lovely, peaceful location a short drive from the New Forest and the coast. The cottage is quite spacious, with a lovely bedroom, en suite and dressing area.. It is well equipped,a real home from home.

Peaceful, spacious and ideally located

I initially came to the property by myself in order to work on a deadline, and then my partner came to join me for the last couple of nights. As a work location, I found it peaceful and it had good WiFi with a great Tassimo coffee machine as well as cafetiere, and a dining table big enough for my laptop and to spread my papers out with a nice view out of the windows. As a place to relax, the cottage is clean, comfortable and cosy. It is spacious and has lots of storage space, so would be ideal for stays longer than a week too. It also has a lovely log burner. The location is good. I did a few short walks around the local area, walking out directly from the property, and saw wildlife including birds of prey, deer, donkeys, horses and sheep. When my partner arrived, we travelled further afield by car. It is very close by (10-15 mins drive) to Blashford Lakes Nature Reserve and Moors Valley Country Park and Forest, with other New Forest locations not too far further afield, and Bournemouth just 25 minutes drive away if you fancy a change of scenery. Ideal - would definitely return!

Comfy stay

Nice well equipped property. Very comfortable bed and plenty of hot water. Situated in rural location approx 15minute walk to local shop & pub along a narrow country road with no footpaths.

The property was in an ideal location for our holiday . The accommodation was clean and tidy and was big enough for the two of us and our dog . Would definitely look at booking again when planning a trip to Dorset .

Lovely cottage

We had a wonderful stay and property was furnished very nicely, peaceful part of dorset, we shall stay again. Only thing i would have liked is a few sun loungers as patio is large and sunset was very pleasant, and i like to sunbathe!

Thoroughly enjoyed our 7 days here, very quiet and peaceful and well located for New Forest and local beaches. Dog had a lovely time too, in facts now we are home he is sulking.

Even better than the photos!

We had a perfect stay here. The photos really don't do the old Dairy (at the end of the barn) justice - the main kitchen/living room is plenty big enough and great that it seated 4 people as our friends stayed at one of the shepherd's huts so we could sit together indoors (at last!) as well as outdoors. The bedroom is huge and has a lovely dressing area too, and a lovely naturally lit en suite. It had the best shower we've come across in quite a while! Lovely hosts - we had a catch up then were left to our own devices - which was sitting in the sun with friends with a few drinks for most of one day! A perfect spot, lovely walks around too. We visited The Churchill Arms twice for dinner and enjoyed their quiz night on the Thursday - great fun.
