Stayed with my dogs and enjoyed the shared fenced back yard. The location is not the best in Des Moines but I didn't have any problems. Improvements would be adding a curtain to the front door as it has a large window. Could use updated bedding and a deep clean for dust/replace air filters. Otherwise it was like staying at a friend's house.

Nice but had a few issues

Located right off the interstate and close to downtown but the actual neighborhood isn’t the greatest. Great communication with property manager. Answered emails and calls in a timely manner. The unit wasn’t clean. Lots of cobwebs. We purchased toilet paper and paper towels as there was only 2 rolls of tp and one roll of paper towels for 5 of us for a 4 night stay. The backyard was pretty…enjoyed sitting out there. The bathroom is remodeled and really nice. Could definitely use more cooking pots, pans and utensils.

Misrepresentation

The unit wasn't like the pictures or the description online. The beds were terrible, the bathroom door was partially off the hinges, there was no internet or TV service, and yard hadn't been cut in 2 or 3 weeks. I both called and emailed the management company the 1st day and heard nothing from them until after we left the next day. We were called away a day early for a family emergency.

Dirty and in need of maintenance

When we checked in, I instantly saw how much dust was in the home. Dust covering blinds, windows, shower head, tables…then noticed the hanging vent cover from the ceiling in one bedroom, the mold on the ceiling in the bathroom, wallpaper in bathroom pealing off the walls. When we finally went to bed in what appeared to be the cleanest room, it was clear the slats on the bed were out of place. The bottom half of the bed was basically on the floor. I messaged the owners and didn’t hear back from them until after we checked out. No refund and no apology…just thanked me for letting them know.

Finish that fence!

Lolz, the pics made it seem there is a fenced in yard, but on arrival it was actually open on 2 sides. We had dogs with us, but that's why they make leashes I guess. Overall a nice spot. Thanks

Weekend stay

This rental was clean and very well put together! Dogs are allowed at this rental and you can tell. There is an immediate smell when you walk through the door and you can definitely tell animals have stayed there and have possibly have accidents there! Besides the smell everything else was nice!

This property is great at communicating and the place was what we needed! We didn’t spend a lot of time at the property. The area is t a prime Des Moines location but it’s safe enough.

Nice but watch for the fees!

We only stayed in the location overnight (only 8 hours) and we were still charged a huge cleaning fee. Although the site shows a minimal per night cost, it comes to a MUCH higher total with all the additional fees and costs. The place was obviously pet ‘friendly’ as we could smell it and the furniture was obviously a chew toy for a dog (s). The bathroom was not clean either :/

Will not stay a second time

The small apartment was just as the photos showed. However the neighborhood was not appealing, you cannot see the capital building from the door or porch or windows. The couch had a stain on it so I had to use a blanket I brought with me. The blinds was too short for the door window so I didn’t feel comfortable with that. I did call the owner, he said someone was coming out to repair it but they never showed up! I had to put towels up on the window!! Lori

Clean, nice, convenient.

Nice, clean, just as pictured. I completely enjoyed the stay. The only issue I had was that I was in town for the dog show with two large dogs and there was not enough control of the heat.

Great stop on our way !!

Stopped in Des Moines for the night and this place was great for family traveling with a 2 yo and a dog...close to the highway for easy in and out and close to restaurants and amenities. Very clean and easy to check in and out. Owner communication was great. Only thoughts would be to have a couple more towels available, and the first bedroom gets very cold. Was not in love with the neighborhood snow blower going at 11:30 at night since we had little one with us, but it was a large snowstorm and he didn't wake up so it worked out. Would stay here again.
