Best rental yet

This was hands down the best rental property we’ve ever stayed in. Every detail was thoughtfully planned to make our stay comfortable and memorable. We were especially touched by the handwritten card and cupcakes waiting for us on arrival. Truly top-notch — a perfect 10 out of 10!

Summer Road Trip

This place was ABSOLUTELY PERFECT for our family. We had plenty of room and enjoyed our stay. Our dogs loved the fenced yard as we did too. The owners were great communicators and responsive. I highly recommend this place.

Best Hosts and home on VRBO

We can’t say it enough, Karen and George are by far, hands downs the best hosts one could ever ask for. The attention to your situation personally upon checking is without a doubt the best in the business. This was our second stay at their beautiful home and it will NOT be our last. In a time where our family was visiting for again not so great times, Karen and George and their home made those times so much better. We thank you both, from my entire family, thanks will never be enough.

Cute, cozy home away from home

My family enjoyed our stay at this cute and cozy home. We loved the access from the backyard to Veteran’s Park and enjoyed walking the trails. The house was clean and very well equipped! Would stay here again!

Stop looking…this is where you want to stay!

Everything about this home is wonderful. It was clean, cozy, and beautifully updated. Karen/George thought of everything to make the stay perfect! Nothing wasn’t thought of…games, entertainment, loaded coffee station, stand alone ice maker, 2 main bedrooms with full en suite baths and a cozy upstairs with full bath too. You won’t be disappointed!

Great second stay

This was our family’s second stay at this wonderful home. There is lots of space, activities, and comfy spots. The house is decorated adorably. Tons of games and accessories are included with the house. The location is perfect and close to Cleveland and the lake.

Charming house

We stayed at this property while in town for a funeral - it proved to the perfect place for our family. The hosts were responsive and friendly. It was one of the best stocked rental properties I’ve stayed at, including a little coffee area and lots of family friendly games. It felt warm and cozy and we will definitely stay here again the next time we visit the area.

Wow! Even better than expected.

This property had everything you could want and more. We were there for family/holiday visits, but truly, could have never left the house and been happy. Clean, comfortable, spacious, safe, well appointed, well located, great outdoor space. Our kids were bragging to the rest of the family and my grandkids had a great time with the games provided when they came to visit. We/our dogs really appreciated the extensive walking trails and the fenced back yard. We unfortunately left a day early due to impending snow event, but gave some serious thought to asking for an extension to just hang for another few days alone, since our adult children had already left. We highly recommend; hosts Karen and George provided all information necessary and were very responsive, too.

The whole property was great! We loved the fenced backyard and easy access to walking trails. The house was, by far, the cleanest and most thoughtful vacation rental we have ever stayed. We would definitely stay here again.

Lovely home near Lake Erie

We stayed in George and Karen's home for a family member's funeral. This beautiful home made the process of saying goodbye a bit more bearable, and the hosts were so warm and welcoming. This is truly a special home.

What an amazing find! My husband and I stayed at the property with my parents during a family wedding weekend. Karen and George have truly thought through every detail imaginable. Annual Baseball trip!

Friends Getaway...#5

We are a group of 3 couples who do a Friends Weekend once a year. This was our 5 stay together. We had a fantastic time at Sentimental Stay. What a great house!! Everything exceeded our expectations. George & Karen thought of everything. We arrived to a personally written welcome note & a box of treats from a local bakery. The home is spectacularly clean & beautifully decorated. The amenities & personal touches were top-notch all throughout the home. We had a wonderful time & would highly recommend Sentimental Stay to anyone looking for a great spot to stay in the Mentor area.

Beyond expectations!

Sentimental Cottage is beautifully done and well thought out for guest comfort and accessories for personal needs and functionality in the cottage. We would definitely love to stay in the future. There are also a park and walking trails behind the property that are very well maintained and safe. The Host communication was excellent! Responsive, informative, and timely. We also chartered a fishing trip with Chagrin Valley Charters—you will never be disappointed by Captain Nick (owner/operator) all around great family trip! Thank you George and Karen!

Absolutely perfect!!

I don't think I could say enough good things about our stay at this wonderful property! We were ready to move in after one weekend there! It had absolutely everything we needed. We will 100% be booking here again for future visits. Here is a rundown of how well this location fit our various needs: Grandma (80s): Especially because of mobility issues, she loved that everything she needed was located on the first floor. Other than entering and exiting or wanting to go out on to the LOVELY porch room, she was able to get around very easily on her own. It was also nice for her to have a bathroom to herself. Mom/Dad (50s): Our favorite room was the porch room. We had lovely spring/summer weather while we were there, but being able to turn on air and still have the outside light and views was wonderful. We also loved how stocked the kitchen was with items we could use to cook at home. The back patio with outdoor seating was a lovely surprise! We thought there was only a firepit area. Having BOTH was awesome. Daughter (20s): She loved having a space to herself upstairs AND a shower of her own. She appreciated that there was a fan waiting in that room for extra air movement. Dog: He loved having a backyard which was fenced in making it both safe and homey. He was very happy to be included in the trip and grateful he was accepted in the house :) He couldn't smell that any other guests had been there, because the house was so clean and sparkly! Awesome spot!

Great Spot

This place was perfect for our family. Lots of space, lots of games and fun stuff for all ages. Outdoor area is really nice too. We needed a good place that was dog friendly and this fit the bill perfectly.
