Perfect location and very comfortable house. We had three adults and a child with us and all had space so we weren’t crowded but still could gather for meals. The screened porch was lovely. Watching sunrises from the pier in the morning was beautiful and we even saw dolphins swim by.

Amazing! We will be back. The adult kids loved it, I loved waking up to the bay every morning. The only thing I would change, if I could would be to update the couches and living area furniture in the den off of the kitchen. It was not at all comfortable to sit on and we like to gather and play games/watch movies, etc. There are areas for gathering, which is awesome. We had a huge take out crab dinner on the screened in porch, got to fish and just enjoy Chincoteague. This is close to everything!!!

There are some little things that could use some improvement. Maintenance: The screen doors need adjusting, they are difficult to open. I needed two hands, one at the handle and one at the bottom to open it. Nails are popping up on the deck and hand rail. Hot water was not working in upstairs bathroom sink. Cleaning: Fishing line and hook were on the deck. Coffee maker had coffee in it. Lint catcher was not clean. Someone caught a lot of fish before us. The binder could use a map of the island. We got a booklet from the Chamber, you may want to add some of their materials to the binder. Positive side: The beds were comfortable. The couch, bathrooms, stove and counters were clean. Sunrises were beautiful from the deck. Overall, we had a great time in Chincoteague.

The hosts were fantastic, communication was awesome. The house was very clean and appointed - love that they include the bedding! Quiet neighborhood. Great location. The house is a little dated but well cared for and I am finding this typical of beach rentals in general. We would stay again!

The location is great. We loved the neighborhood and it’s proximity to the park. The dock and view are beautiful and we enjoyed the decks and screen porch. The interior is a little down at the heel with old carpet and worn furniture. Overall enjoyable stay and good value for the price.

My family had a 4 day stay in Chincoteague and the Happy Crab was perfect. Great location. Not far from the beach. Secluded, quiet neighborhood.

Property was as expected as far as location. There were some issues for us with how clean things were. Dried up contact lenses on the bathroom floor was a clue!! Grate on the wall going up the stairs was filthy and the one bathroom had questionable residue on the baseboard.

Some furniture needs replacement Twin beds need replaced Pots and pans are old and prone to burning food Upstairs toilets require maintenance The fish cleaning station sold me on the rental,however it is in poor condition. I asked prior to renting if it was available for my use and was advised it was just to clean after use. There is no water available appears pipes are missing down the pier . Only half of the station was useable the other half is collapsed. Impossible to clean with no water. My son, grandson and I do a lot of fishing so this was a real disappointment. I have fished Chincoteague for over 30 years and expected to stay in better accommodations . If I had been given a true statement about the station I would have gone elsewhere.

This unit had the best equipped kitchen lf any VRBO I’ve ever stayed in! I thought I was taking a gamble by renting a house with no reviews, but when we got there the guestbook indicated many had enjoyed the house before us. Foolish us were not prepared for mosquitoes. Do NOT leave the door propped open as you carry stuff jn! All the decks were quite lovely. Best photos from the top deck!
