Great stay but beach access was not what I expected but not bad...

Enjoyed our stay and the view was awesome. Only item I would pass along to other travelers...When reviewing the pictures it appears there is beach access from the condo unit on the north side of this unit. However this is closed now and you have to walk to the beach access about 1/2 a block to the south. This wasn't a huge issue, just not what I expected. It may mention this in the description but I have not checked. We still had an excellent time and got a good workout on the stairs being on the 3rd floor. Overall I would stay here again.

Four and a half stars!

Everything was fine, but the stairs were very difficult--3rd floor, no elevator. Great view, good location, comfortable, well appointed, management was great, lots to do at Carolina Beach and Wilmington, but, oh, those stairs!

Overall great place to stay!

There were a few small issues with the property, but overall we had a good experience! Not enough problems that I wouldn’t recommend others stay here. Some of the issues: 1) Although it is oceanfront, there is no “beach access” right outside the property - due to the rocks along the beach, the access area beside the rental is closed off & we had to walk down the street a bit to get onto the beach without climbing over rocks. 2) The check out instructions were nowhere to be found in the rental. I contacted the property management 3 times to ask for a copy of them & they weren’t provided until an hour after we checked out. Wasn’t a huge deal as we just cleaned up the best we could on the way out, but still would’ve liked to had the list ahead of time. The book with checkout info also had the work password, but thankfully we were able to find the password on the back of the router. 3) We couldn’t get the TV to turn on. Again, wasn’t a huge inconvenience since we don’t watch it much anyway. But I did email the property manager to let them know for future guests. 4) “Most” of the property was fairly clean - but we did strip the bed & use our own blankets because the sheets looked dirty. And the bathtub hadn’t been cleaned as it had sand/dirt all in the bottom of it. For the GOOD things about the property: - Quiet & seemingly safe neighborhood. Beautiful view from the balcony! - Plenty of space for 2 adults + 1 toddler - Kitchen had everything we needed (pots, etc)
