My extended family and I stayed at this property for a funeral (16 of us). We were so fortunate to find such an amazing place at this location. I have stayed at many, many short term rentals but this one really stands out, there is so much to do for a large group both day and night that we never left the property. A nearby contact can really come in handy...especially when you accidentally set of the smoke alarm. lol! We are considering having a reunion each year here since everybody came from far away (SoFlo, Jax, Texas and North Carolina).

What a wonderful time everyone had. We arrived a couple days in advance for a wedding, on site, and no one wanted leave. The littles were able to swim, middles kayak, and adults prep and then relax. Plenty of room to spread out for various activities. Kitchen was well stocked for us to enjoy cooking on site as well. Thank you for this wonderful opportunity!

Very well appointed estate with plenty of room for our family gathering. We found everything we needed for our family of 16. The highlights include the excellent pool and hot tub with waterfall, the manatees that hung out by the dock, kayaks and paddleboards, one incredible massage chair, the game and theater room. Martin was readily available when we reached out with questions but allowed us to enjoy the property without intruding during our stay, perfect! Very peaceful location, plenty of parking, lots of space, plenty of activities to keep everyone entertained....easy property to recommend. We loved our stay and wouldn't hesitate to book again should the opportunity arise.

We stayed at shangri la for our annual summer family vacation. 14 total age 3 months to 70 years old. We had an outstanding time! The pool is spectacular! You can control the waterfalls, temp, Lights and hot tub jets with an app. We keep the hot tub a moderate temp and the little kids were able to enjoy it like a kiddie pool. The sunsets off the dock were amazing every night and there was plenty of space for everyone to enjoy. The common areas in the living room and dining room worked out perfectly for our group. Plenty of shopping and sing choices to order in or drive to within 20 minutes or so. Also numerous golf courses within 15 minute drive. Coltin was a gracious host and responded promptly to any questions. We were unable to take advantage of the kayaks or paddle boards because there was so much else to do. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a large home with plenty of amenities.

The property provided everything we could expect and/or want, from the crib and high chair for the baby to the game room for the adults, to the beach chairs & towels & umbrellas, kayaks with guided tour, pots, pans tableware, etc., all for 20 people ranging in age from 1 year old to Great Grandpa age 90.

This is our third stay here, and another amazing experience. Colton is a great host, always available to take care of anything we needed. Our party included 11 people staying on property, and another 20 visiting from the area. Plenty of room for everyone, plus several amenities like the pool, game room, kayaks, and a wonderful sitting area by the water. Plenty of parking and a scenic area for relaxing. Highly recommended!

Coltin and his beautiful home made our wedding dreams come true. Everything you need is on property and Coltin is incredible when it comes to communication and accessibility. I even paddled on the River right after my ceremony got some bad ass bride pics 😎 every friend and family member fell in love with this beautiful location. We will definitely be back. I really can’t say enough good things about it. If you are reading this…book it now!!! Literally!! It is worth way more than you can imagine💜

Where do I begin? From moment of booking, Coltin was very attentive and communicative. I believe he went above and beyond to make sure our stay was perfect. I appreciated most. There are no pictures that you will see that come close to how GORGEOUS this property really is!!!! From inside out, it was breathtaking. The views and sunsets by the dock: AMAZING! The game house: so gorgeous and enjoyable that my son almost missed our event because there was so much to do and play in the game house. Each room had a different theme and story. It’s equipped with the things that’s needed yet you don’t thinks to travel with (garment steamers, spices for food, tons of board games, junk drawer with safety pin scissors, etc) Our guests LOVED that! ALL IN ALL, the Shangri-La is the most gorgeous and accommodating resort for any family/ friends getaway. Host was 100% the most attentive I have ever interacted with as a guest. Thank you again Coltin! A+++++ Host!

There are not enough words to express our gratitude towards Coltin. We picked Shangri-La as our weekend destination wedding. We had family and friends coming from California, Toronto and Argentina and planning a wedding long distance is no joke. Coltin made sure everything was great before our arrival and he even offered to received some packages with decor for the wedding a few days early. He responded all our questions during the weekend and fixed some issues that came up instantly. The venue is amazing, even better in person. We took advantage of the Silent Disco and was a great hit for everyone. Also, we really valued not only the items already available such as tables and chairs but Coltin even came to make sure everything was working before hand. Again, everything I can say here won't be enough to express how happy we were/are for picking Shangri-La as our wedding venue. Coltin even accommodated part of our family on his second property and we were able to check in early to have some extra time. Thank you Coltin and all the Shangri-La family for making this trip our dream wedding :)

I chose this property for my wedding and it was perfect. The host/owner was very helpful, answered fast, and worked with us on everything we needed. The house has picture perfect views and plenty of room for our guests to feel comfortable. Our wedding had roughly 50 guests and every guest loved the venue. I would recommend this rental/venue to anyone especially for family reunions and weddings!

We rented this beautiful property for the weekend for a small wedding and it was absolutely perfect. They have truly thought of everything…not a detail was missing. There are resident manatees we watched all weekend from the dock, kayaked around the river, and enjoyed ourselves grilling and lounging by the pool. Everything to throw an intimate wedding is there as well. We are so happy we found this place! Communicating with the host was fantastic. He was so responsive and came out to the property to help us out with some stuff as well! We’re already planning on staying here again next year.

I can't say enough about this property and experience. The house is loaded with amenities. Kayaks, paddle boards, massage chair, a pool/hot-tub/waterfall featured on the Travel Channel, a big pirate ship, enough room for 20 people to sleep! Just the best. And Coltin, the host, is a standup, helpful guy! The pictures do not do this place justice. We LOVED it!
