We stayed here during a cold snap in May (down to zero degrees) - the place was clean but it was absolutely freezing. We put on the gas fire, and the bar heaters in all the rooms - but that made the fuse go. The property managers suggested we only have one or the other on. So we made use of the gas heater which was lovely, but when not in front of it, it did feel really cold. We wore our jackets in side most of the time when not in the lounge room.
The location is nice and very leafy, a little far if you like to walk to town.
The bedrooms were slightly small, but very comfortable. One bathroom to share was interesting but it was a nice shower with good pressure. It did leak though so there was a constant dripping noise. The kettle was old and very rusted and needs replacing. The back door out to a lovely garden area was nice, but not made for the mountains! A large gap in the bottom of the door leaked in cold air, so we ended up stuffing our jumpers under it to keep the cold out.
One area we are finding really terrible - we paid a $300 bond/deposit and over 10 days after staying we are yet to hear about getting it back. We left the house in great condition, as per the post-departure list, and I've emailed and called and no one has responded to us. Not the level of customer service we'd want, likely not to stay here again.
